Insurance + Mileage ?

When getting a insurance quote it what states mileage you do in a yr, i alway wondered do the ins co. care if you do more than the stated mileage like you told them 5000 but you did 8000 & they found out you did abit more? not that i did i told them 6000 but i did much less than that since i got another car/public transport for work.

yes they do care as you will invalidate your insurance

but they never check

They don't check as a rule but I suppose if you bought a brand new car and stated you only did 5,000 miles a year and two years down the line you write it off and it's got 75,000 miles on the clock... they'd probably figure it out!

Generally speaking you should be careful as any evidence to the contrary will invalidate your insurance.... same as fronting really. :)

So does this mean that if you do less miles your get a rebate????
