Hi Folks!

I have an Auris 2007 and engine is Dual VVT-i 1.6 Petrol (1ZR-FE). Is anybody installed this cruise control on that type of Auris? Is it working? Second questions is, if it´s working, where I can get the needed equipment?

Thanks in advance

Br, Tero

Yes, I have (just like many others :) ). You can get the CC lever from eBay. The 2007 Auris with 1ZR-FE is really easy to install - it's plug and play.

Hmm, yesterday arrived the shipment from eBay. It looks that the cover from below is not compatible. Is it the only "nice" solution to drill an hole and insert the grommet? See the enclosed attachment.

I replaced the wheel cover with one, that has a CC hole as I wasn't very fond of the drilled/grinded DIY look.

I have cc fitted by dealer, and there's just round hole drilled, no grommet or anything. It looks fine, at least in my opinion.

What is the part number for that cover?

Search the topic - I have given the part number twice, including in the last couple of pages. I don't have a picture.

You can't see the hole unless you look behind the wheel, since the front of the wheel is larger that the back where the hole is.

The switch and cable come to £72.44 delivered to any UK address, overseas will be higher

Are you saying that the Cruise function is already on the car and you just need these two parts to enable it? If that is the case it seems a remarkably cheap cruise control. I am sceptical

Kingo

this is also true on the lexus CT200h buy the same parts ,switch , cable ,2 screws & switch cover then its plug & play ans the jobs done

If you don't have the cap as shown in picture 4 on the steering wheel surround, are you supposed to cut a hole out?

the hole looks awful,if a cover is available it will come with a piece of thin rubber attached to the rear

of the cover this is to stop dirt & dust entering the steering wheel.

the rubber dust cover has cuts going from the centre to the corners so it doesn't restrict the movement

of the stalk.

Hello im installing cruise control to my corolla 2005 and i have a problem. When i push the on/off button the cruise light in the dash turns on then push the lever down (set) nothing happens.

I dont have the clutch switch and i think thats why it dosent work. I havent found the wires for that switch so if somebody could help me to locate these wires that would be awesome.

I've done this to my car and used a £11.99 cc stick from Amazon. Took a gamble as the Amazon page didn't state it was for the Auris but it was identical to it so figured it should work (The circuit board in the cc stick is after all very very simple!)

Anyway haven't had a single problem. I did have to drill a hole and shape it with my file set in order to get the stick in which may seem a bit daunting to some people but just take your time and work it away bit by bit. Make sure to masking tape off all areas around it where you don't want plastic filings going in.

Hello guys!

I have recently purchased a used Toyota Auris 2011 1.3 101hp. I am very pleased from the car. Yesterday i bought a cruise control kit and tried to install it. I opened the airbag pushing the two side bars to release it and i connected the cruise control to the socket existed.Without closing the wheel drive since i had to drill a hole on the side for the stick i tried to start the engine. The car started but the rpm got low and the engine went off. Tried it for a couple of times but didn't work the same again and again. During the order of the engine i didn't see any cruise control notification on the dash while i was pressing the on/off cruise control button. So i decided to close the airbag again without installing cruise control. The same thing was happening on engine start, the rpm got low and went off till i pressed the clutch and brakes the same time and engine started normally. Can anyone help me please? Thank you very much!

As far as I'm aware the ECU on the 1.33 won't accept cruise control.

Hi, I have an 2014 Auris Hybrid. I'm trying to remove the airbag but I'm not getting anywhere. I'm using the method seen in this video. I can't feel any clips/springs being released. What am I doing wrong?
