Every time i open my filler i get a huge rush of air into the tank.

Any tips on how to fix this. Should i drill a small hole in the cap?

Can it affect fuel delivery to the engine?

My "working" car, a 17yr old Honda does this too, it's quite normal. DO NOT DRILL!!!!!!!

all it is, is a build up of vapours from the fuel, since it has no where to get out when you open up your filler cap it all rushes out there,

come to think about it if you dont get that noise especially when your running close to empty there may be somewhere else its getting out

not sure if you get a rush of vapour on a diesel engine never noticed to be honest,
