Dashboard Fit..

Right....all those who have the latest shape fit Corolla and have problems with the Audio unit not fitting right....IT IS a manufactured problem...all Toyota dealers are aware of it and work should be carried out under warranty...unless the head units not a standard one. We try to fit the unit right or if need be replace the top crash panel...hope this helps!!

My dealer wanted to replace the whole top of the dash due to panel gap above the radio unit. I'm not to keen on this. Removing the dash may create more creaks!

What gap are we talking about here?

I have a new shape Corolla and never spotted a gap anywhere near the headunit. Even though I dont have the standard unit anymore, I dont recollect any spaces.

The gap between the audio unit and the crashpad....basicall it wont fit flush.....If the Toyota dealer is good a new crash mat wont creak........i know when i fit them i make sure they are right.!!!
