Thanks Xana! :)

Photos of the interior is my "next to do" -thing. When they'll

be ready I will definitely post them in here!

I have petrol version with 1.6 engine, and haven't really modded

it. There's not much you can do to increase the power if you have

this kind of engine...

As I told I have Apex’i - Dual Funnel -air filter and a silencer from Remus

installed, but i doubt that they increase the power. They're only creating

a feeling of having more of it by making a sportier sound.

I've also added lowering springs and some bigger wheels, which of course don't

affect on power, but the handling is much better now. This creates

the same "more powerful car" -feeling. And of course even my car isn't more

powerful than before, it is a bit faster thanks to those wheel & lowering mods.

Because of them it's possible to enter the corners at higher speeds than before.

Don't really remember the pressures, but I only use standard ones!

Very clean looking Auris brother, good job! ;)

Now to the questions, hehe. :D

1. What is that tiny black thing on one side of your bumper?

2. What are Diadem-blinkers?

3. How did you modded the front turn signals 'exactly' to light up all the time and did you experience any problems with them so far?

4. And could you please post a picture of your car with only the parking lights on at night or some dark environment like garage etc.

Thanks for your compliment man! :)

1. It is the place to put in the cord which brings electricity for engine heater and interior heater. Please check Defa's site

for more information!

2. Diadem-blinkers are blinkers with blue glass, which are blue when they're not on, but orange when they are blinking.

3.It is possible to do by two ways. You can do many wirings and make the blinker light do everything, lighting and blinking, but it's very difficult and takes much time, money and may be not good for your car. So I made it by drilling a hole near to the hole made for original blinker bulb. Then I put orange LED Parking light with 5 LED's into it and made the wirings so that they will work at the same time with original parking lights. After this I just removed original parking lights from their socket... So this is it, there's two lamps, one working as a parking light and another working as a blinker...

4. I've allready promised to Modena to take some pictures of my xenon lights, so I will make the parking lights -photos at the same time. I'll try to get them ready until the weekend or during it. Will post them on this thread!

Best regards, Alex

I took some new pictures, but photos regarding MOMO -pedal pads are still to come.
Brake pedals' pad is not on it's place at the moment. I've posted it back to the shop
to get it changed because the anti-slip rubber started to fall off!

No problem, I'm glad to hear that you liked the photos and that they were useful!

Yes, I will take that kind of photo for you (as I promised) as soon as possible...

This time I just didn't have time to search for enough dark place to do that.

But here's some fresh night+rain shots taken just a little time ago, enjoy!

Another parking light (on the driver's side) is a bit darker, originally

it has 5 LED's and now two of them aren't working.

Will have to change the bulb before taking the photo, otherwise it won't

look symmetrical...

But for now I have one taken from the front with parking lights and blinker on.

Didn't post it because I thought you'll want the one with both parking

lights, but here it is before I'll get the shots you asked for.

So, on the passenger's side: parking light, on the driver's side: blinker!

Hey Alex,

I am about to get a HID kit, I have an option to get smaller ballasts or stick with original sized ones. From your experience, should I go for smaller ballasts or stick with originals? The smaller ballasts will cost me $50 more.

Normal size ballast is 7.5x9x3cm and a slim ballast that is 6.5x9.5x1.5cm.

What do you think? Is there enough space for normal size in the engine bay?

Hello Modena!

Sorry for not posting the pics you asked for so long... It's very rainy in Finland, raining

every day and the asphalt is wet. So been waiting for the dry asphalt, otherwise the light

cannot be seen properly on the road!

I suggest you to buy original sized ballasts and install them as follows:

Open the hood and remove the long black plastic cover, which is placed in the front side

of your Toyota's engine room. After removing you will see two metal bars (they have the same

colour as your vehichle) going pretty symmetrically on both sides (there are some holes in them,

also the ones which are used when installing the plastic cover). Now you will have to release the

air-filter's pipe's holding mechanism to be able to move the pipe. (This will be needed when you're

installing the ballast, you will have to pull the pipe littlebit away to get enough room for getting the

ballast on it's place. When the ballast will be on it's place you will be able to release the pipe to

it's ordinary position).

After releasing the pipe just install the ballast upside down at the downside of the metal bars

described before. I suggest you to use tape! It'll be clean and nice-looking installation and you won't be

even able to see the ballasts when the plastic cover will be on it's place. For removing some bulbs (for

example blinker-bulb from the passenger's side) you will have to remove the ballast because it'll be

so close to the bulb, but due to this kind of installation it will be an easy process. And I doubt that the

slim ballasts will save you from this, because they are only slimmer but have the same tallness as

original ones!

Hope this will help!

Best regards, Alex

if you are looking for more power try and get a custom sports CAT done to your car,

auris are restricted in power as of most economy cars for better petrol,

i got my car looked at by a exhaust specialist and he said that the auris has such a big CAT its restricting about 20bhp,

try and find a local custom exhaust specialist and ask.

Looking very good, I remember our conversations with the Kenwood head unit project :) . How did you remove the badges on the boot?

Thanks for your tip, I will go to the local specialist to ask what he can do and how much will it cost...

Thanks derwill... I appreciate the tips you gave me according the headunit!

I removed the badges simply by pulling them out with my nails/fingers. After

that I just wiped the spots with wet cloth (even there was no dirt/glue left at all).

you going to do with the high beams, leave them as original with halogen bulbs?
