please please please i need help my insurance has expired and have found out that even though i have paid insurance for the past 4 years i have not really been covered due to the fact that even though i had told them that my vehicle was master ace surf they had put it down as a toyota space cruiser auto est

i have been on the internet to get insurance qoates for a Master Ace Surf auto 4 wheel drive but i habe been totally unsuccessful almost rejected

will some one please tell me where to go for insurance before my world ends

my vehicle is classed as a grey import according to the main toyota import office but it is not a q plate and the same type model is sold in england under a toyota picnic or camper i can get parts as far as i know so i dont understand why i am sruggling to find insurance.

please could somebody tell me how to insure my car my cover note expires on the 11th November so i need help ASAP thank you.

But also try giving Chris Knott, A-Plan and Noel Dazely a try :thumbsup: Sky Insurance isnt great on a fair few NW postcodes... so I ended up getting a coupld of decent quotes from the last two...

I would've said the ones that been mentioned already.

However, after reading this thread I am slightly amazed how, for 4 years this was not picked up by you sooner - insurance is a very important thing and when you get your renewal and policy docs through it does state on the paperwork to read everything through & check all details are correct. I presume it was down on the docs incorrectly?

Anyway that's by the by now, glad you've picked up on the mistake!

Just a couple of thoughts...

DVLA must have the car on their database as it must have a UK reg plate by now and to get one must have had some certification.

After 4 years the car must have been through at least 1 MOT and their must be a record of the type of vehicle and the fact it is now UK roadworthy.

So if you have a car that 2 Government departments (DVLA and MOT) say is UK roadworthy why will an insurer not cover it?

If you have paid an insurer for a service you have not received i.e. insurance cover, can you get a refund of your premium?

How can you tax a car where the insurance cover and DVLA/MOT details do not match?
