Yip... I also had an Atari 2600 !!!

Loads of fun !!

I also had pole position.

Favourite game... Yars Revenge... ( first game and I played it for 8hours straight once !! )

I even burned a line down my TV due to the fact I played it so much.. oh and Joust ! That was another great game !

Get an Atari 2600 emulator and roms.. relive the old days.

Now back to those blinging double din units !...

They still won't pick up UK FM radio though. I'd be interested but I listen to the radio quite a lot, and I've got an Ipod for tunes...

I like the fact it's got one of those displays that shows peak hold etc .. and there is one of the Kenwoon Dolphin .. bit pants on mine as it's old ..

And now the reply from the importer !!

Hi Ben

Hope you are well.

I can bid on Yahoo parts for you, but please bear in mind that we dont

normally offer this service to anyone as bidding on several auctions at once

takes up a lot of our time and me and the guys in Japan already working

around the clock as it is(!). Therefore to make it worth our while, we will

add a small fee for every successful auction. There are also other costs to

consider, such as Jap tax, Jap delivery and also you must take full

responsibility if the part is broken or damaged in anyway as in most cases,

the Japanese seller will not accept refund or returns, so no warranties are

available.

We try to avoid putting parts in cars these days, especially for such small

items as its quicker and relatively inexpensive to have parts like head

units sent over by AIR SAL. It averages between 2-3 weeks to get to the UK

and is much cheaper than EMS.

On successful bids, I will email you the total cost you need to pay for the

item including delivery to you. This amount will need to be remitted as soon

as the auction ends as our guys in Japan will need to pay the seller.

If you are thinking of bringing over large quanities of these head units and

other stereo stuff, then you might want to accrue several units and have

them sent over in one box, which saves a little on delivery costs.

Also, bear in mind that Im not available to watch every auction right till

the last minute, so for each auction you want me to bid on, if you give me

your maximum bid price in YEN, I will always bid that amount from the offset

and leave it unless you wish to bid higher (if you are getting outbid or

just to make sure you secure the win).

To give you an idea of the final costs, let say we win a headunit for 25,000

yen. The actual cost (excluding delivery from Japan to you) based on a 190

yen exchange rate will be £203. The total cost including delivery to UK will

be £223.

HTH

and the next reply ..

Hi Ben

I am OK - if a little hung over from a night on the town(!)

I am happy to bid on the head units for you.

I take it you are acting as middle man for others?

I would prefer this as it makes the admin side of things much easier.

I will also bid on other items, but if they are similar to what I

would normally bring over for resale myself (ie. exhausts etc.), the final

UK price

on successful auctions will reflect the price I would normally

consider selling them for. If I see regular business from you,

then I will look into offering discounts.

Costing wise, if an auction is won at 50,000 yen

then expect the final UK price (excluding delivery to UK) to be at least

150% of that figure (75,000 yen)

If you use this as a rough guide then you wont go too far wrong

Regards

They will with a band expander.

Less than ideal though...

Do they have any RDS functionality?

RDS?? I know my doesn't do trafic (if that's the same).

They are all 72 - 90 mhz FM .. the expander makes this an actual 88 - 106 (but the display still reads the old range.

Just looked up that Kenwood one, they are cool, except I wonder if they would fit into a Paseo double DIN as it's got a stupid plastic surround which doesn't leave much space around the head unit. <_<
