Engine Swap Paseo To Starlet

alrite guys been thinking about doin a engine swap changin my 1.3 starlet engine for the 1.5 paseo engine as ive been told its more powerfull and alot quicker but ive been looking up the specs and everyones saying that they are 105bhp at the flywheel and 90ft torque ive had my car dynoed at 107bhp at the flywheel and 95ft torque are the figures for the paseo ive been looking at been rite and cud it be cause mine is a import and ive onli decated it and put a back box and induction kit on it any ideas thanks luke

From memory, the 5E-FE from the Seo is only about 92HP.

The Sera 5E-FTE is about 110 ish.

If you use any of these two then the gains won't be worth it if you're already running 107.

Starlet GTTurbo will drop straight in though - 135hp standard

the engine mounts you have should match with no modification too - just swap the engine and ECU ( and find somewhere for the pesky intercooler to live !

not quite as simple as plugging the ecu in though ;)

you will need to splice the 2 looms together, or fit the entire loom and switchgear from the turbo
