the nissan manifold thats gonna be modified as a temp, measure to see how stuff will fit in before using it as a model to manufcture a new manifold......HKS and £50 from egay

ebay_manifold.jpg

engine out, suspended on (possibly massive overkill) a 10 ton overhead crane

engine_out_1.sized.jpg

The fuel system, handbrake cable and fuel tank....now in the skip

engine_out_3.sized.jpg

Lots of space underneath...where the fuel tank used to be......

engine_out_4.sized.jpg

i recon on calculations today (not including engine) that at least another 70 kilo has been ditched in the skip :)

considering how lowered the car was before......the tyres were level with the arch tops, the arch gap is now....nearly 10cm

i think im gonna have to get new springs wound.......or i am gonna have to chop another coil or 2 of these TTE coilovers (defo not recommended for road use)

Very nice.... but why the twin exit exhaust?????

It looks from the picsk like you are running the 1G bottom end....

What crank are you running???? What power can that crank take????? What pistons/rods are you running??? What reasons for running the UFE head over the GTE?

I am having serious issues sorting oversized big ends fora series 3 1G-GTE crank :(

Not may tuned 1G a in the UK hence the questions ;)

the 1g-ge has been removed.........and now resting in the shed (£400) <_<

an altezza 3s-ge is being fitted,

but 2.2 toda pistons and crank, Eagle rods fitted, polished and ported head, vvti disabled...and a few other bits if i am able to get it done

the twin exhaust was ditched ages ago, to then run a straight through pipe, once turbocharged it will be running a 3" stainless system...

the crank is very good , forged pistons and rods can be got for the 1g engine...fairly easy, i have some contacts in japan and the US for that sort of stuff

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh... I thought the turbo was rather "low" here

Basicly my rev3 1G-GTE has a :censor: ed crank.... I can't afford forged internals, nor do I think they are worth putting in a 1G (If I had that money I'd buy a 2j or 1uz and work from there) But any info on cranks and bearings would be great if you have any mate.... Toyota insist that the ufe crank is totally different to the GTE one... and the is200 oversized bearings are no use to me.......

yup...

I actually have a good spare GTE head... if you want to see for yourself...

If I can't sort my bottom end I may have spare GTE head re-worked and gas flowed by renault F1 :( :crybaby:

yeah sure, im loving it back in the uk, i miss not having my own big workshop to mess around in, but i do have premises i can use.....

as for this project, its good because i know, even though it costs alot to do it, i will still be able to throw it around, as i am building reliability into this....whereas the monster needs treating with cotton gloves on anything other than straight lines....mostly down to the power (circa 600hp)

whereas the drift car should be running a respectable 400hp

the engine damper from Japan

engine_damper_001.sized.jpg

and i had a go at putting the bits together to see what needs to go into what space, ....ive priced up the new pipework for the manifold.......

turbo_manifold_and_downpipe.sized.jpg

supprisingly the Nissan manifold i have has only 1 exhaust port different to the Toyota engine, the flanges are being made up.....this nissan manifold and downpipe will eventually be sold on
