Not bad at all!

Looks good - but I think it'd look better with the front bumper how it was before with just the centre lip painted black, and maybe paint the inside of that middle section too if that makes sense? Just the centre bit of the bumper black, black grill, black bonnet and black roof would look ace!

With regard to weight reduction - you should scrape off all the sticky noise reduction stuff - you'd be surprised how much it all weighs!

The Corolla looks great, can you tell me a little bit more about your suspension set up, as well as the front and rear chassis braces.. as I can't find any for my E11.

hi :) i`m running yellow konis on the hardest settings and 40/40mm cobra lovering springs, and 205/45-17 rubber... but 15"would probarly do a better job.... the front chassis brace is stock but i made a small modification to it by welding a strut betveen the dampingtowers to give it some ekstra stiffnes

DSC00226.jpg

in the rear it`s all custum work, i have 2 separate braces, one that stiffen up the dampingtowers and one that stiffens up the whole rear coupe

here i just used some piping i found, mesured alot and velded it solid, you will have to cut into the interior to make this last mod work dough

can dig up some more info about the job if you need it:)

exuse my bad english....

Cheers

Thanks for the information  I'm looking to spend a few thousand on modifing my E11 SR, not sure which route to take at the moment. My original plans were 4x4 big power route, but that seems to be way out of my budget  so I will look at other options.

Your car has giving me some great ideas, many thanks

hi... time for a small update :D

undertray mod under construction.... hoping this mod will reduce drag a little bit and also reduce the lift effect that most cars suffer from when doing high speeds, been a b**ch to make this part fit properly :ffs: and not looking forvard to aliging the bolt holes, alotta work for a part that wont even be visible when its done

using aluminium for this part

new engine in house  the 1zz-fe.... but it does not run sadly... but im gonna pick of the injectors manifoil and throttlebody and put the on my 3zz-fe

and fix up the new engine when i get the money to do a proper job on it

all of these parts are a fair bit larger and more optimized for power than the ones sitting in my current engine...

manifoil: bigger "spacers" and holds more volume than the 3zz one, but will bolt straigt on (the only diffrence between the 1zz and 3zz is a longer stroke)

trottlebody: 3zz: 55mm 1zz: 70mm

injectors: 3zz: 180cc 1zz: 240 or 260cc (not quite shure)

seen this done before with positve results :D

Longer and thinner runners improves low end power and reduces high end :P

Hence why Massive ITB Bell mouths give rather shite low end power.

Which one did you use in the end?
