Mr2 Airbag Info

Hello Gentlemen, this is my first visit to your forum, I am much more familiar with the Triumph TR forum but help if you can please.

My daughter is expecting her first child in June, she runs a 2002 MR2, and its her pride and joy.

She phoned me in tears today after someone at a Totota gagage told her she could not turn off the passenger airbag, and apparently was also informed by the dealer that if the airbag was dissconnected it could affect her insurance.

She does not want to part with the MR2 can anyone offer a solution to carrying a child seat legally in the passenger seat.

regards Peter

Hi and welcome to the club

Unfortunately the passenger air bag can't be isolated or switched off in a way that wouldn't cause problems with insurance etc :(
