Soft Top Roof Repair

I am new here and am looking for some help

I have a small rip (approx 1 inch) in the roof of my MR2 Roadster and was hoping someone might know somewhere I can get it repaired in the London area.

Has anyone found a solution that actually WORKS yet?

Before I bought an MR2 I viewed one that had a small 1/1 and a bit inch rip in the roof. I spoke to a salesman at a toyota garage about how much this would cost to repair and where to have it done. He recommended a place in Birmingham, I don't recall the name (appologies), but he said they specialised in that sort of repair and replacements also as Toyota would charge a small fortune.
