AT 18000 MILES MY CAR CUT OUT AT 70MILES PER HOUR.

DEALER CHECKED AND FOUND NO FAULT.

NOT ACCEPTING THIS DEALER AGREED TO DO MORE STRINGENT TESTS WITH TOYOTA GUIDANCE. NO FAULT FOUND.

SAME DAY CUTS OUT AT 70 MPH, DEALER REPLACES EMS BUT FINDS FAULT IN WIRING ON TEST RUN.

ASSURES ALL IS PERFECT YET AGAIN.

NEXT MOTORWAY JOURNEY WITHIN A WHISKER OF MAJOR PILE UP CAR STALLS AT 70MPH.

I THEN SAY I AM NOT PREPARED TO RISK MY SAFETY OR THAT OF OTHER ROAD USERS BY DRIVING THIS CAR AGAIN.

THE DEALER THEN INSTALLS ANOTHER EMS AND EXPECTS ME TO DRIVE THE CAR.

IT HAS BEEN AT THE GARAGE NOW FOR MORE THAN 3 MONTHS. HENCE I AM WITHOUT A CAR.

HOW DOES AN INDIVIDUAL GET THROUGH TO AN ORGANISATION LIKE THIS?

THIS TOYOTA T3 WAS REGISTERED NOVEMBER 1992.

ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Dunno if I'll b NE help.. but sumthings btta thn nothing ay:

I had a similar prob a while ago where After driving the motorway in my Corolla 83 Wagon, cruisin btween 100-140 I found as I breaked whilst coming up to traffic lights etc (prob then doing 70ish myself) The car would stall.

(turning it over agian it would usually start OK)

Except on this one occassion

It was pissn down this one specific time n just wouldn't start up agian, at first it would roll over n over, but not fire, then just lost all power (from my few tries) so had to call up th AA (Auto Assoc)- those dudes who come and jump start u etc anywhere.

Anyway a jump start got me goin again and he reckoned it could quite likely have been the fact I had driven for to loong with my choke out (10mins).

So yea, that was it for me.. The choke was left out.. n it like drowned itself or something random like that :)

Mayb ur cars 2flash 4this to help out.. but hey..

sAweet, mayb it will
