HI All,

Can anybody help me? I have just bought a evensis 2006 d4d t3s and its done 46000 miles,

does this car have a cambelt or chain? id cambelt what milage will it need done, or if its chain

when will that need done? also cost of each please.

i think the Avensis 2.0 and 2.2 diesel from july 2006 are chain driven,but not 100% sure.?

No. My Avensis is a 2005 (55) i have the 2.2 engine and it is a chain drive. Mines done 68,502miles and i have quoted a few times about if i had a belt or a chain. If it is a metal cover its a chain, if its a plastic cover it's a belt.

All the 2.2 d-4d's are chain drive.

If your 2006 is a 2.0 d-4d and has the indicators in the mirrors then it is also chain diven.. if not, it will be belt driven.

That's as far as i know when I researched before getting mine.. which was registered the end of June 2006 and is chain driven.
