Townace Beeping When Temp Goes Above Half

Hi!

I've just bought a toyota townace 2ltr TD automatic, K reg. It runs at half temp for about half an hour then on the motorway, generally when im going about 70 but not any faster it goes to 3/4 temp and starts beeping, sometimes these beeps get faster before they stop. If i cruize at 50 this does not happen and whilst its getting up to temp i can drive it faster and it doesnt happen so dont think its the speed think its something to do with it running slightly too hot.

It is not losing water and sounds fine, there is not air bubbles coming out of the water system. Does anyone have any idea what it may be? could it just be that i need to flush the radiator out?

Any help much appreciated!

Many thanks,

Claire

Hiya

keep an eye on it as these vehicles suffer from cracked cylinder heads /head gasket problems caused by overheating....sometimes it could be the radiator..
