Hi, can anyone help please, i have a x reg 1.0 Yaris that needs some replacement

front shocks, my first question is : are the shocks integral with the strut ? and

second : will the struts from a 2004 yaris fit mine ? there were no details of what

model they came from other than the year !

Many thanks

Hi mate, if i was you i would just buy some new shocks & springs and fit them myself.

It's not a difficult job to do and even easier if you have a mate who'll help.

£400 to have them fitted is ridiculous but then it's dealer prices.

Id try somewhere else.

Ron Jeremys in Mansfield replaced a bust shock and spring assembly on mine, fully fitted for £158

I got a set of adjustable Koni's (4) from a shock shop on the net, a local garage charged me £150 to replace them with mine and re-set the tracking! Think the shocks were £250 from motorsport or something similar.

Remember, that's all 4 and they adjustable. set em soft for comfort of firm for handling or anywhere in between. The fronts can be re-adjusted in situ with a small tool, provided with them. B)

Like a twit, I threw out the old stuff! They weren't damaged, just too soft!

Just get some branded replacement shocks from companies like Gabriel or Monroe. Any good Motorfactors will do them or you can get them online. They will be good as OEM. Even if you get the Toyota ones you dont have to get the dealer to fit them. Have them fitted by a local garage.

PM Parts-King on here to see how much he can do the Toyota ones for.
