They will be readily available through any reputable motor factors.

Proper Toyota Pads are not expensive for the Avensis, I was at the dealer whilst someone was ordering some for a Diesel Avensis and they were about £27 for the pair.

Not so it seems.. i have been told main dealer only.. but if they are £27 an axle then I aint to worried... £27 a pair is a bit steep though.

Problem is, the toyota ones aren't up to much in my eyes. Have a look around at after market dealers. They do do them. My mechanic fits none standard at my request.

Any ideas who might do em. Toyota have quoted £50.71 + vat just for the pads!!

Seems that they are different pads on the front if you have rear discs (which i have) and all the local brake fitting people are saying main dealer cos they can't get pattern ones... HELP!!!! :crybaby:

I'm sure if you managed to afford a few grand for the car you can stretch to £50 for the pads.

the factory pads are made by ATE , a German manufacturer now merged (or bought by) TRW , who was "consumed" by Federal. So check with your local TRW dealer.. From what I know , the pads sold directly from "Ate" or "TRW" (not having the toyota logo on" will last for less than half the miles the factory fitted did..

I made 100.000 Km. with the original pads , but 55.000 Km. with the next set...
