R8 Style Led Light Strips

Hi I've just got some of those led light strips off eBay, but i'm not sure where or how to connect them. Theres 2 wires one copper and the other one silver. Could anyone give me a step by step guide and perhaps post some pics of their wiring. Cheers in advance for any help!
