My Bonnet

Hi guys,

I have taken the foam part that it attached to the roof of the bonnet to my CTS (was hoping for louder noise when in VVLTI)

is this foam purely to cut out engine noise or for heat soak from the engine to protect the paint on the bonnet?

i took it for a quick spin and seems louder : )

I took mine out. It's purely sound proofing. (As far as I'm aware anyway..)

Typhoon is louder without it :P

thoose clips holding the foam in were lil buggers to get off though...

haha, tell me about it.

Took me ages to get some of them out.

Downside to mine.. I had a Sunburst Red CTS, and the bonnet has underspray on it where it's been removed. good job I don't have it open too often! I may just get myself a spray can and touch it up. hah.

i removed mine too.... as has marc! haha.... common as muck alteration these days eh :D :D

Im keeping mine for now, as the engine aint really loud, but after a few engine mods i might do, especially if the neighbours get c*cky with their accord (which is a replica type r, and is oogly as f***)
