Staqlling Problems 1986 Toyota Pickup

I have a 1986 toyota longbed pickup automatic that is stalling after driving it for 15 to 30 minutes. If I make multiple stops it just seems to die after the 3rd of 4th stop. It seems to happen more after I fill the tank but the problem is intermittant so it is hard to tell if that is a real problem. I have changed the spark plugs and the fuel filter, neither have worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
