Wiring Kits For Rav

sort of on topic and slightly anecdotal ....

I actually decided to fit a (non-Toyota) 13-Pin socket when I fitted my Towbar and electrics as they are meant to be more reliable and also the 13-Pin connector is commonly used on the continent and I had an idea of buying an imported caravan from holland.

When I was checking the wiring out - I used the 7N and 7S wiring to feed into the 13-pin like a previous poster - I found two variations of wiring and it turned out that the position of the earth was moved a few years ago and went to where a +12V wire was!

So just a word of warning that one 13-Pin Plug may be wired differently to another 13-Pin plug depending on age of trailer/caravan.

Like I said, bit anecdotal and cannot remember the exact details, but worth a quick google for anyone intending to use the 13-pin socket instead of 7N+7S. :D
