Added some door handles to the vehicle. Still looking for a white spoiler and then wheels but for now I'm happy, looks a bit more manly with a bit of black

Yaris gen 3 headlight so so bad 😞
Stevie J replied to nasamorpheus's topic in Yaris & Yaris Cross Club
I agree, the headlights on mine are pretty poor on dark country lanes, and if its raining, driving in the city I often cant tell if I have even got my headlights on. Even the beams of certain cars behind me create more light surrounding the beams on the road ahead of me from my own lights. Considering the standard HIR2 bulbs that are fitted to the Mk3 first facelift models onwards cost so much more than a standard H4 halogen bulb that the earlier 2011 - 2014 Mk3 would use, I would expect them to be much better than they actually are. How on earth Toyota thought the projector units were an improvement on the pre-facelift model is beyond me. If the roads are dry then I can just about get by with them, but on wet roads in winter, it's pretty dire to be honest. -

Think that might be a safety thing for little fingers Col. there’ll be an EEC Directive for sure.

Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it 😉

I’d sell the Vauxhall and keep the pipe. It’ll be more reliable 😉

Q1. Does the engine crank (turn) when the failure to start happens? Q2. Do you get any immobiliser fault symptoms when you insert key? eg whats status of central alarm/lock led? Q3. Whats battery voltage dip to when cranking? Q4. When you say it stalled, do you actually mean engine cut out whilst running? Q5.is your check engine light stay on when it does start? Q6. Check obd history for faults. Otherwise you will be clutching at straws as to the cause.

1.6 petrol. Thanks for this . Reading some others peoples issues they say it may be the battery. Not sure this one’s only a year plus old! Only bought the car 2 months ago so will check this out first I think, it’s only done (19k total miles) and 500 miles in last 18 months as owned by elderly gent. Thanks for the info.

Hi Tarak, I am looking for a hybrid, i like the Toyota CHR 2.0. The concerns I have for a hybrid is, I know they are very economical on short journeys with start and stop. However, I tend to do some motorway driving and want to know what I would expect the economy to be with motorway driving, I’m not a loon, and drive very rarely at or above the speed limit. would a hybrid be economical on motorway drives? looking forward to hearing lots of advice and seeing what my car choice will be. I do change my mind a lot when it comes to cars, but know that I want a petrol and an automatic. be safe everyone

Hi Dave, Welcome to our forum. Congratulations on your new C-HR. I noticed the ECO gauge, comes on and off automatically on my Estima, depending on how fast the cars goes, it does engage automatically, and didn't notice any change on the dri3ve style. I need to try and switch it off, surely the car will consume a bit more fuel and gives more power to the car......needs testing.

Hi Andrew, Welcome to our forum. I had few Toyotas in the past, and now bought the import 8 seats Estima hybrid, I have all trust on Japanese cars, specially the import ones. CHR is a very popular medium family hybrid one. The Yaris hybrid is even more popular, I had the 2016 one, amazing drive, very economical in fuel indeed. The RAV4 HYBRID is a great SUV, but not sure about the cost... Hope you will find a Toyota to suites you ...

12v battery maintenance, issues, etc.
RickyC replied to FROSTYBALLS's topic in Yaris & Yaris Cross Club
Also mine does. But I'm so used to beeps that often I ignore them. Moreover very often there's so much ambiental noise that the loud beeps are lost in the background. -

My Mk3 projectors are very good. They are better than many/most cars I've had before. Then again, I don't go that fast round corners, so YMMV. -
Hello Glen - welcome to Toyota Owners Club.

The forums page shows the topics which have had the most recent new posts, regardless of which model forum the topic is in. Approx 6-8 topics get highlighted in this way, and they change depending on the number of new posts made. -
The BMW engine was fitted from the facelift in 2015 onwards.

They do show up. It may have been pushed down the list quickly as there was a lot of activity at the time. -

You should try riding a 1950s motorbike at night with 6V electrics. 12V sealed beam headlamps were a revelation and then came along halogens..................................................... -
What is your current navigation map version on bz4x?
Corolly Poly replied to bZ4X's topic in Toyota bZ4X Club
Maybe the fact we seem to have the latest version does in fact explain the refer to dealer message. I guess we have to wait until a newer version is released to find out. -
Make sure to plug in to the OBD to see if there is any codes stored, as crank no start could be caused by any number of things. And yes a faulty relay can cause power to the fuel pump to stop. If you are going along the lines of fuel starvation, keep in mind there is a high pressure pump under the bonnet also.

I was doing a bit of tippexing on paper the other day. The tippex pen has a needle-like sticky out bit and when the needle was pressed down onto the paper, a tiny bit of tippex came out. More presses of the needle meant more tippex. This same pen would be great for touching up stone chips. Has anyone seen a touchup pen like this? Thanks.

Is it highlighted on the main page as most recent no matter what subforum the list is in? Like this one from me, since all cars have the plastic cover on top and in front of the radiator, then all covers must have clips and holes on metal brackets where the clips go through. Is this paint bubbling a known issue on any other Toyota car? Thanks.
