  3. I have just bought a September 2016 Toyota with Touch 2 Go, the portal initially said £109 but when I added the map to my shopping basket the price changed to £0, so the 3 year free benefit held good. Thanks for the tips, upgrading the maps from factory version is far from simple. Regards, John

  5. HI Barry thanks for reply my handle has broken of from bolts /screws holding it on to body so far not having much luck with breakers yards.
  6. Moved to the Rav4 club as there will be a better chance of responses. Have you tried Timpsons?
  7. This comes up quite often in the Van to camper van conversation forums I'm a member of where they regularly go from 18/6/3 to 2 seats without updating their V5C. Basically the MOT tester will only test what is presented to them.
  8. Thank you to everyone who responded to this. We have some participants organised now so I'm turning the survey off. Thank you very much for your help.
  9. Its called a "Vacuum switching valve"
  10. Something below the C-HR, would compete with likes of the Nissan Juke, Peugeot 2008, Ford Fiesta Active, etc. Whether they take the stand alone model route (Peugeot 2008, Kia Stonic, Hyundai Kona, etc) or a version of their B secctor hatchback with raised suspension, body mouldings, etc (Ford Fiesta Active, Hyundai i20 Active) remains to be seen. The latter route would be cheaper - a next generation Yaris with raised suspension, body mouldings, roof rails etc.
  11. Might be the part getting removed in this video? Not your year of Corolla I know.
  12. Hi could anyone help ID this part it's on a 1.4 vvti corolla 04 plate. It's located behind the maf sensor and is clicking very loudly if you pull the cable it stops clicking. Thanks in advance 🙂
  13. Likely the result of a so-called 'smart repair' - possibly done at the dealer's as part of pre-sale prep. The paints some of the smart repairers use are not always especially durable. I wouldn't worry about it.
  14. Thanks for the reply Peter. My dash cam is a Garmin and needs two supplies ,a switched feed and a feed that is always on for the parking mode sensor .
  15. Definately the EGR Valve is clogged up.
  16. I quite fancy a Rav 4 but the newer ones are much bigger than older ones. Around what date did they get much larger?
  17. I understand a full size wheel and tyre will fit in the spare wheel well. May be worth sourcing one for less than a space-saver! Wish I'd known this for forking out for mine! You'd also need a jack and wheel-brace.
  18. Gone are the days when you could bolt a bit of angle iron to the bumper mounting bolts of a Moggie Minor and hitch up something (dinghy trailer in my case).
  19. A lot of these Chinese-made LED units are junk. They rely on a cheap plain-bearing fan for cooling, which you just know is going to fail before too long. I would stick with a good quality halogen bulb.
  20. 20k miles from rear discs/pads seems poor. It could be that the pads are sticking in the caliper carrier or the EPB is not releasing correctly. Toyota dealer will be v. expensive on these parts but you can use an independent. I have had good experience with Mintex brake parts over the years and a set of discs and pads for your car will only cost about £50 (part nos. MDB3036 pads and MDC2169 discs). Reckon on an hour to fit and lube the slide pins - its also v. important to clean the carriers where the pads sit.
  21. Hi Gary, welcome to TOC 🙂 https://www.toyota-tech.eu online access will be payable, amount varying upon how long you want but you can download information for later use.
  22. I have a 2006 with a 2.2 diesel. Does anyone know where I can get a workshop manual for the engine?
  23. Yep thanks. Saw them on Google but after photos lol. Thank you for the reply 🙂
  24. Hi Taz, welcome to TOC. 🙂 This is it on the TS this was the prev. generation on an Auris hatch
  25. Do you mean this ? https://www.caradvice.com.au/757745/toyota-sub-ch-r-crossover/
