Prius Gen 2

Not sure if people are already aware of it! I found it only yesterday so thought of posting it here ... for those interested in knowing how.

Have checked, the procedure works on UK models!

Did he have to waffle for a minute and half at the start of the video? I didn't have the patience to sit through right to the end but I wouldn't be surprised if he waffled on for ages after showing how to get into the diagnostic mode! :chair:

There is a second method that doesn't involve turning your lights on and off, I haven't done it in ages because I use the ScanGauge II.

I've found that you can enter the diagnostic mode on all Toyota/Lexus Nav systems this way (that I've tried anyway!), although sometimes you have to hold the 'Info' button and switch the lights on/off instead of 'display'.

Or you could take it in to Halfords.

Ask them to check your Battery.

Watch them take off the big orange connectors from the Battery connections in the boot.

let them connect their 12V meter up...

I wouldn't let any spotty teen from Halfrauds near my car!

If you want your Prius wrecked go to Halfords. They messed up a mates car electronics and his car was a Vauxhall.

I always ask for a Battery check at a service.

My son's almost 4 year old Prius still has the original Battery.
