Please direct that question at Toyota. To quote from my 2002 brochure " A detachable towbar can be used with all 4x2 vehicles and 4x4 vehicles with 235 tyres. For 4x4 vehicles with 215 tyres a fixed tow bar must be used. Trailer coupling must be removed to open rear door" Only trying to be helpful.1 point
