  1. Has anyone used the Tire Temporary Mobility Restoration Kit (TMK) to repair a puncture where your Prius does not have a spare wheel? I did & it worked well. But when I went to buy a replacement sealant bottle from my local Toyota dealer they wanted £144.90 for it!! I am waiting for an explanation from Toyota Customer Service - I told them that as this is a safety device they should not be ripping us off. In the meantime I bought a temporary tyre repair kit from Halfords for less than £10. Paul

  2. IMO Finland is the best in almost everything; f1,rally,DEATH METAL,nature,alcohol...and they have speedchaser. Great car, great guy. Have you tried to do something with the awfull hazard switch (paint or replace),how to pull it out without breaking it?

I did clean up my server a bit so please find here the correct link; http://www.bit4net.com/files/cars/rav4/Check_Engine_Etc.pdf BTW our Rav 4 NRG gearbox still drives like new after we got the ECU done back in Nov 2010 at 100k miles. Odo now at almost 140k miles so almost 40k later still all good while the message from Mr. T was bear in mind that with some Rav 4 vehicles you need to use a special security tools instead the phillips screwdriver mentioned in this video. and of course we have this ECM box on the left side

  5. When will car manufacturers get the message that most motorists want a spare wheel not a load of goo. I agree with Sagitar I would never buy a car if it did not have a spare wheel. My preference would be a full size spare wheel which seems to be no longer an option on modern cars.

  6. Well, I know I am old (and old fashioned . . . ) but I simply would not buy a car without a spare wheel of some kind. My preference would be to look for a skinny rather than the repair kit.

  7. Low noise level. Comfortable ride. Ease of access and legroom to the rear seats. Good level of specification to the TR model. Value for money compared to other makes. Good comprehensive and long manufacturers warranty. High reliability figure from motoring press. Good mpg for a petrol car of its size. Looks good particularly in Tourer form. All these combined to make it a good deal for a private buyer and had good residuals for when its time to change.

  8. reliable, comfortable, economical, practical. Pleasant cabin design with good storage Fairly high spec. for the price Don't know about Hyundai dealers but in my experience Toyota dealers are better than Ford, Vauxhall.

  9. Ride comfort, engine performance & cabin size, looks. Ride comfort - destroys motorways, A & B roads with ease. Not a sporty ride but its a big comfortable car not a sports car. Engine performance - real world motoring (between 40 - 80 mph) the 2.2 D4D with 150 BHP has plenty of legs to allow me to make progress including strong overtakes. Cabin size - I particularly liked the fact that the roof doesn't slope in anywhere near as much as other cars. The Saab I looked at made me tilt my head in the drivers seat because the roof curved in so much. Excellent space in the back - so much more than Audi and C class Mercedes offered. You get a lot of space inside compared to the outside size of the car - enormous boot. Audis seem like a reverse Tardis. Big on the outside, tiny on the inside. Finally the looks were a factor. Not dramatic or sporty, but simple stylish lines. Understated class.

  10. Many thanks for the prompt reply! I was perfectly prepared to accept slower performance and less Mog when I purchased th car Bu as time goes on, I'm really missing the Alpha's performance. I have so much more from the Rav4. Reliability for one! Aged parents find it more accessible and it swallows my musical equipment I was just hoping that for maybe £350 to £400 I could have my cake, and eat it! Thanks Rick Totally recommend the Lindop Tuning kit......quite a few of us have them fitted, and have proved reliable, so will save you any blues, brother. Kingo will be along soon, parts manager a Lindop, and he will assist......ALL ROUND good guy..... Welcome t'club. Big Kev
