Stretch the budget and get a 150BHP version from June 2010 onwards. No engine worries, better drive, looks nicer, still have at least 1.5 years of warranty left and will last you longer, and be worth more on resale as well (just don't go for auto box if economy matter as your say)2 points

Today I got my new 17x7" wheels mounted on my IQ. I like the look and had feared that the ride would get quite rought, but it's not bad at all. Maybe I feel some bumps a bit more, but not much different from the original 16" wheels. The tires are Pirelli P Zero Nero 205/40R17 - on good roads they run smoother than the originals, but on rough roads I think they are a bit more noisy. Overall, I like it :) What do you guys think? Hello all hope you are all well. I don't go in Mrs Ps Rav much so when i did go out in it over the weekend i thought i would check the trip reading on the OBC which i haven't lookedat for ages and was surprised when it was saying 34.5mpg.this has gone up from 29-31 from when we first had the Rav and i was checking it on a regular basis. Now i know that these figures aren't all that accurate on some Ravs but none the less it is still an improvement, isn't it1 point

Don't have a link Charlie,I bought mine from my local motolec spares shop. The Denso ones will be on a par and are a wee bit cheaper.1 point

David it's that time of the year... I very nearly always replace wipers this time of the year as it's now they earn their keep. ...1 point

Just ordered a set of the Denso ones off Car Parts for less from the link Dave posted (Cheers Dave) total was £25.98 delivered.... My Bosch ones are fine and work brilliantly but they aren't as quiet as reported above so worth a try.. My ones will need changing soon anyway...1 point

My Scangauge, which I have used in my IQs since 2009, usually gives a day trip mpg figure of about 53mpg for the mixed urban driving that I do. I was very careful with the calibration so am happy that that figure is quite accurate although the long pipe down to the tank and oversensitive nozzle cut-offs make it difficult to be spot on. I fitted the Toyota units, and they are great, you won't be disappointed! Mind you got the complete kit from e bay, and only £50.00 Whose a lucky little reverser then!1 point

.....after they have added 29% on to everybody else's price, Paul......? If I thought I could get nearly a turd off at Toyota, ebay would stop inviting me to their golf outings due to lack of custom.........lol.1 point

Paul, I had that problem but used www.carparts4less.co.uk for the cheaper price David Cheers for the link Dave.1 point

Thanks, luckily I have just paid £18.84 but that is a very interesting link and I must remember to look when it is time for a new battery etc.David That will deffo NOT be Denso wipers......they will be Optifit Toyota replacements, which in my opinion are just not.......just remembered Kingo got black belt in Karaoke.......me go quiet.....solly. Thanks Kev, that makes me feel even better (sorry Kingo)David I only buy wiper replacements from Mr.T as I've found them to be excellent quality & value compared to any of the after-market ones that I've tried, including Bosch, etc. On every occasion the non-OEM ones have ended up in the bin.I do have to say though that I've never had this problem on any previous cars, only the RAV's. That is where and why the Denso wans score, Jim.......they are not AM, they are OEM as fitted in That Japan. The Optifit ones I have experience of only being "good", with duff longevity after subjectment to frost and ice.1 point

Thanks Waqar. Is that you getting back at me for saying you are a computer genius? Mo, When getting the pictures be artistic and get the angles from a low stance. Best from the corners of the car. Konrad1 point

Charlie The Denso ones that are in the eurocarparts link are exactly the ones that were fitted to all RAVs from new. I would describe them as a clamshell design. They are not exactly frameless like the Bosch ones you are using but they have a hybrid half framed blade under the shell. They are sculptured and are the only ones I have ever used that are completely silent. They have a special fitting that allows them to lie pretty well flat on the screen.1 point
