  1. Can I firstly say that I love my rav. However a few problems are occurring. The one that is griping me occurs after the engine has warmed up and the temp needle is half way. If I then turn the engine off, the engine dumps the battery power on turnover as in a flat battery. I know this is now not the case as I have a brand new battery in it. The engine, once cooled starts after turning over normally. Can ANYONE help? What's up wi me Rav? How do I fix it?

  2. Jamie,Jamie,Jamie. After reading your post a few times it would seem: There are more good points ,engine, body and interior. You say there are only small things wrong. The suspension arms are made of quite sturdy metal and will take some rusting on them. Suggest maybe getting some costings for things that you think are in danger of letting you down and there seem to be few of those. Are you confident with the garages you would use, if not get quotes, not estimates, from others. What are the tyres like which could considered also I get the feeling that you have a certain fondness for your motor and feel like you are somehow dropping down a peg with the other motor. Trust your heart and gut on your next move. My wheels are of a certain age but I am confident in my old gal and would be sad to lose her. Know that this may not help but is the way I feel. I wish you all the best in whatever you decide Del

  4. Kev, no need for my post to be removed as our car is not currently for sale :P I was simply pointing out that there are better buys out there than a cat d T180 especially for £7k - Nightstalker could buy an ex-member's T180 for that amount of moolah ;)

  6. Our RAV 4.3 tells you when a txt arrives and asks if you want it read out. It also allows you to reply by speaking the reply txt. It generally works very well. Not sure about the Aygo. Maybe best to ask on Aygo forum or check it out with your dealer.

  7. Hi Rusty Lady Welcome to the club :D As above, I had to have my DMF replaced at approx 60'000 miles ( had the clutch replaced at same time, as using existing clutch is pointless) when its all in bits and the work is being done, put a new one in whilst they are working on it. Mines covered 128'000 miles now, clutch still ok, drives well, you may well get another 100'000 miles out of it with regular maint, they are good vehicles , but things do ware out with time. We have one member on here with Diesel version, who has covered 189'000 miles !.

  8. They should come with the screws required to fit to the bottom, all you need is a small handled philips screwdriver to get in the small space. :)
