  1. Thanks for the info avensisd4d786 I ended up removing the belt and measuring it. It was 1733mm.I went for 6PK1733.Fits perfectly and runs fine now. My coolant colour is blue .Not pink or red as discussed in lot of thread here. Got to investigate that. Thanks Again

  2. I always felt there was a flaw as one often saw them parked with just the kerbside lights on. People will signal when pulling over and then not cancel the indicator before leaving the car. They should have made it so the parking lights on the opposite side to the indicators came on (though no doubt the average UK driver would have found that extremely tough to comprehend ).

  3. Is the official take on it :) There's more choice for sure but I wonder how many ex Prius owners own another Toyota hybrid or have gone elsewhere? But I also wonder whether the 10k Outlander PHEV owners ever had a hybrid before? They sold 10k in the UK in less than 12 months. Those figures make Toyota hybrid sales look questionable after 15 years in the hybrid game. What a missed opportunity - you could have played the hybrid card a bit better and really cornered the market. I appreciate 1 in 4 Toyotas sold is a hybrid, but it could have been 3 in 4?

  4. As with most cars, the Prius has got bigger with each new generation, is now closer in size to the Avensis and the D market sector (which is shrinking), It's place in the C sector (Focus, Golf) has largely been taken by the Auris hybrid. Plus people have more choice, not just with Toyota (Yaris, Auris, Prius) but other manufacturers.

  6. It will be the disc shields catching - the discs rub at the lowest point. No real need to take it back in or even remove the wheels - just get a long screwdriver and push the shield at that point and slightly bend it inboard away from the lowest rim edge of the disc.

  7. I think the word "coasting" is causing confusion. It normally refers to knocking a vehicle into neutral whilst on the move. I know what Ian is saying, because I often see my energy screen showing neither petrol, electric or regen whilst on a very slight decline, the same screen you see whilst stationary with your foot on the brake. In the absence of the correct terminology, I think "Glide mode" is a good name for it.

  8. Position lights is another term for side lights. Originally intended for when the vehicle is stationary to mark the position of the vehicle.

  10. Also worthy of note: Re-gassing a Hybrid requires specialist/separate equipment from normal AC systems as the car uses an electric AC compressor that requires specific ND11 type compressor oil as other types of compressor oil are electrically conductive and can lead to short circuits and premature pump failure. Toyota states: Note Only use ND-OIL11 for the electric inverter compressor of the air conditioning system. Using other compressor oils may be dangerous, as they may conduct electricity. Electrical insulation performance may decrease significantly if even a small amount of oil other than ND-OIL11 is used (or enters) in the refrigeration cycle, causing a DTC to be output. If other oil is accidentally used and a DTC is output, collect the compressor oil in the compressor and replace it with ND-OIL11 to increase the ND-OIL11 ratio amount. Replace the main components (evaporator, condenser, and compressor) if a large amount of oil other than ND-OIL11 enters the system. Failing to do so may cause electrical insulation performance to remain low, causing a DTC to be output.

  12. Feel free to inhale deeply then. DPF traps particulates and ejects them later once the car decides to burn them off. Still a disgusting poison cancer causing fume. And most diesel cars emitting this killer cancer causing filth are not Euro 6 vehicles right now.
