Just an update on my car 1 year on When I first got the car I instantly put a clutch in as it had 145000 on the clock. £250 fitted (three piece) Full service and front pads £70 2 full services since £100 A new battery £35 Last week bought genuine Toyota pads and discs all round £180 (I think the ones I took off were the originals and still had loads on them) And today the first problem my car has actually had: a drivers side window regulator £70 Not bad going for 170000miles !!!

one of the things that I miss on the T27 from the T25 is that central dashboard cup holder .., The one behind the gearstick on the T27 doesn't seem to fit anything that I have, standard cans etc.

1 bar is 100 kPa (14 PSI). I would think that is a bit excessive. I'd aim for an increase of 20 - 35 kPa (3 - 5 PSI) all round. I'd also check the tyre wear every 2500 miles (4000 km) checking for signs of under or over inflation and adjust my tyre pressures accordingly.

Yes, you are right, that is my plan B. And it has more benefits than solving of the dashboard brightness problem. Also, I already found solution to my plan A. I found it on other toyota forum. So I already know which single wire needs to be disconnected to keep dashboard in day mode even with headlights turned on. :-) If anybody interested, it's the thick light grey wire on pin 2 of 2Q connector. If we insert a simple mechanical switch into that path, we can easily disconnect the wire to get dashboard back to day mode. :-)

Unfortunately it doesn't contain any manuals for the engines or automatic transmission (even if the folder is there), but this was how I downloaded it. When I installed mine I had a couple of wires which were left unused. Is there not a wiring diagram provided with the kit? Best bet would be to plug and play now and see what you have working when you power up the new unit.

I'm pretty sure there's instructions on Toyota-tech.eu on how to remove the stereo. Choose your model of car and follow the links for stereo upgrading.
