  1. Have tried Super in 2 Prius (1.5 and 1.8), Lexus CT200H and my current 2014 Yaris Hybrid. Conclusion = Waste of Money No difference in performance or economy, no issues with any engine or fuel system.. Tesco Unleaded has been fine in all of my vehicles, including a Porsche 911 which only needed 95 RON. The only vehicle that specified Super was a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, so that was what it got fed, average consumption was 15.7 MPG, so it had a lot of it !

  3. Or you could personally import the car. The car is right hand drive and when I researched the Blade Master G, I found videos (including some from Jamaica). The engine is the earlier 2GR-FE engine without the clever dual injector, direct injection of the later 2GR-FSE. The 2GR-FSE engine has both port and direct injection. Reliability of the 2GR-FE engine should be good compared to the 2AD 2.2 diesel. I wonder how much worse the fuel consumption is comparing the V6 to the diesel?

  4. A mapped 2.2 is pretty quick. Tobmakenitnworth while you would have to look outside Toyota to get a turbo charged or supercharged engine in

  5. The 12V battery on a Toyota is covered for the full warranty term, so on an Auris this would be 5 years / 100000 miles Toyota do however require diagnostic proof of a failed/faulty battery, to this end all dealers have a Midtronics EXP-1444 tester which tests the battery and if faulty provides an alpha numeric code which is required by the warranty department when submitting a claim, if the battery passes the test then Toyota would not pay out on a replaced battery

  7. I have the Auris 2.0 D4-D. I get 60mpg + if i take it steady. However if you do like to go fast its more than capable. The 2.0 seems to use all its power right through the rev range. I have had mine remapped to around 160bhp and im very happy with it. I have driven the 2.2 SR180 yes it is very quick however the economy is not as good as the 2.0 plus the 2.2 has a DPF and I have heard there can be issues with this. If you get a pre 09 2.0 d4d it probably won't have a DPF. It depends what you want from a car. In my opinion its not boring at all, wherever you have read that it will probably be some car reviewer that things that everything VW make is the best thing since sliced bread. Each to there own I say, I've had 5 Toyotas now and loved every single one.
