  1. Sounds like you've got a non-remote key from Timsons with the correct chip code for the immobiliser. The first two codes pertain to the engine and may well be from a while back. The third code essentially is an issue of communication between the immobiliser and the ECU and may well have occurred when you've been testing new keys. Delete all codes and observe that the check engine light is now extinguished with the engine running. Come back to the forum with the codes displayed if the check engine light illuminates again.

  2. Also see https://www.toyota-europe.com/world-of-toyota/feel/environment/worldwide-harmonized-light The revised test has given the Prius higher emissions figures, although these won't affect the London congestion charge exemption zone, as TfL won't be re-evaluating existing models - https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/new-toyota-prius-co2-figures-push-it-over-congestion-charge-exemption-zone The new test does mean that manufacturers may withdraw or modify models which don't meet the new standards - eg. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/volkswagen/golf/103993/volkswagen-golf-r-power-dropped-down-to-296bhp-due-to-wltp-emissions-rules

  3. That's a very nice looking car, I remember going to see Andy Rouse racing them back in the days, and agreed on the alignment. My list of jobs to do is getting longer each week, not shorter lol.

  4. Doesn't sound right. I regularly downshift from third to second in the 30-40mph range for overtaking or tackling steep motorway entry ramps. The gearchange is slick, just bags of noise from the engine due to rubbish soundproofing. Get the clutch pedal free play checked out. It can be quite critical on these cars, for function and longevity of the clutch system.

  6. I imagine the 'shouldered' old tyre is off the front? Get your alignment 'laser lined' or you will crock out these new ones - being a bigger footprint. My OZ 15" + tyres are exactly factory rolling dia... Looking a tad "needs lowering m8!" but I'm happy to keep it as it is 😋 2sav

  8. I'm planning to buy a steering wheel with volume controls. My Yaris doesn't have these at the moment (2003 'S' model). Something like this but not actually this listing. Does anyone know how simple it would be to do? From what I've seen from various pictures is the volume controls have a cable which needs connecting. Should the other end of this cable be there on my car already or would there need to be modification needed to wire it all up? Thanks! 🙂
