  1. Don't know about your country of residence, but some countries have technical document which is used when selling/buying car, and recording any changes etc. It might have the details you need there. If we check on here, and use hiace as reference, as they related, you can see towing capacity in case the caravan has it's own braking system is 1400 kgs for all models. https://towingcapacity.org/toyota/hiace/1996/ Seeing as yours is 2wd, i would not push my luck.

  2. Toyota have done a recent update of all the parts on their site with schematics and mouse overs to see part numbers etc and it is really great to use. They're not all logically in the right place but at least you can find something eventually if you go through enough diagrams specific to your model. I use IE 11 and Edge which open these ok. Mouse over and clicking on a part number gives more information which is really good. But, as to your specific requirement for a genuine ambient sensor part, when I checked the screen defroster which contains this on my Corolla dash top, it does not list this part at all, even though it is a standard fitted part.

  3. I did a little more research and located the camshaft sensors on the top of the cam cover. http://www.japan-parts.eu/toyota/eu/2011/avensis/zrt271r-awfepw/2_273560_041_530W/tool-engine-fuel/1104_cylinder-head?pnn=11101J&pa=1533037020 The camshaft sensors are 11101J .

  4. If it's a heat shield attached to the body then usually the shield corrodes/wears around the bolts and eventually the nut heads pull through it. Often they can be refitted by using big washers.

  5. I have a 1. 33 09 petrol. I used to have to 0w20 in warmer weather where engine oil becomes very viscous, when starting my car it used to rattle after its been parked for a long while like couple of hours. Now i have 5w30 so in warm weather engine doesn't rattle as much as it used to. Wrt performance 5w30 is ok. Btw im on 70000 Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  6. I drive the Auris 1.33 as well and the dealership has been using Shell 15W40 spec oil since new and the motor does not use any drop of oil between services. Our temperatures are much warmer this side in South Africa.

  7. I'm driving on 5W30 in my 1.6 Auris which just turned 100k, oil is Champion New Energy. Any oil that falls within the standard from the owner manual is good, but i agree with you on using 5W30. You can check similar topics for recommended oils that other people used, if you are looking for any special brand recommendation. In my case, the oil consumption was 1L per 10k KM, which i consider pretty normal, with 50% of that being on highway speeds.
