  1. Yup... it's a fantastic car, I've had mine for twelve years now; best car I have ever had... only ever put brake pads and discs and a couple of front brake hoses (nothing wrong with them but the MOT chap insisted he could see cracks in the rubber; I couldn't!), plus the usual oil and filters... bit thirsty with the fuel if you boot it though! 🙂

  3. Voltage is only half of it. You need to do a Drop Test to get a better idea. How does the voltage hold up when under load? Just coz it sits at what you think is a good voltage, doesn't mean it's got good regulation. High internal resistance will kill voltage. Aim for 13v on a battery at rest, and you'd be more than likely fine. 12.56v is ok as you've not replenished the battery after a couple of 30min drives. Mick.

  5. On the 2013 Yaris hybrid, you must wait for the initial 'beep' before moving the 'gearlever'.

  6. I like to keep my little Yaris as clean as I can & even got asked at it's last MOT if I'd had it in storage somewhere I did originally look for a set of steels but couldn't seem to find any at a decent price & then these ph2 mk2 alloys came up on Facebook marketplace for £100 so it was a no brainer as they say.

  8. As Frosty says this is going to vary according to local specifications. Electrical adjustable drivers seat with memory & heated rear seats are definitely planned to be available within the 2019 RAV4 range in North America depending upon model/trim level. Heated steering wheel is an option in the 2018 RAV in the USA & standard on some Canadian trims, I imagine it will be available in the 2019. I would have thought that for northern USA & Canada a heated windscreen is highly desirable but can't see it in the specs. (doesn't mean that it isn't there). I understand that hybrid RAV4s won't ship in NA until March/April 2019, ICE only from December 2018.

  9. Andrew, I think you have mixed up your engine description - t27 diesel 1.8l avensis build 2013 - but at least your profile is correct. It is a 2litre diesel. I cannot say if the cold starting rev's are normal or not. On petrol, 2000 rpm is normal, and the revs drop quickly if the car is driven. That is why I start up and drive off immediately. The car warms up very fast when driven. Clearing the side windows by lowering them then raising. I cannot remember with my current car, because I clear all windows before getting in and starting the car as mentioned above. My old car did partially clear the glass, so had to clear them. I did polish the windows so the water runs off quickly. I am still trying to remember as I type this, and maybe it does clear. Other hopefully can answer. Konrad
