  1. afaik the hatch, sedan & TS will all be available in hybrid form so that shouldn't come into it. Hybrid powertrains are mandatory for the series from start of 2022 season. tbh I suspect that we will see a controlled/standardised BTCC powertrain (or parts thereof) offered as currently to keep development costs down for teams.

  2. Hi, Thats a difficult one as can see their point of view as much as yours. There has been some similar adverse comments generally about the recall work , so I did take a video of the instrument panel and dashboard etc just before taking mine in, though would have never thought of checking the alarm if I had one. Suppose it could be a difficult one for you to troubleshoot, checking the wires around the alarm box itself should not be that much of a job, but thereafter where do they all connect and how does the software interact with it ? Think they could have at least checked that it had not been turned off by asking the mechanic or plugging in their pc etc, surely they know if its a standard thing they do when they are doing so many airbag recalls. Never seen any info about the alarm at all, wonder if there is any on the Toyota EU pay for site, though never able to view things properly on it myself. Might just be simpler and cheaper to buy an aftermarket alarm if you hit a brick wall ...? Seems lots of after market alarms and even trackers at reasonable prices these days , perhaps dropping a hint of a xmas pressy might bring one

  4. I currently compete in the Javelin Sprint Series in my Suzuki Swift Sport, and i only did selected rounds this season due to needing an operation on my arm, but i managed to get two class wins! In 2019, i am doing all 8 rounds, and now i have the Aygo, the plan is to do selected rounds in it, in the Japanese Sprint Series, which incorporates the Toyota Sprint Series. But that plan may not even come to fruition as I’m buying a Mk1 Yaris 1300 ST that’s a known class winning car in the series too! Ill still do all 8 rounds of the Javelin Series in the Swift. Both series are run by Javelin, who run a lot of track days every year so they know what they are doing. Its great fun, and you can use a standard car up to a out and out track car, there is a class that suits whatever you choose. I know there is a few people on here that compete in them, but lets try and get some new faces out there and support this great series! Find the Links here folks, it would be great to see you there! Any questions, just ask away http://www.javelinsprintdays.co.uk/sprint/ http://www.japanesesprintseries.com/jsprint1/ http://www.toyotasprint.com/tss16/index.php Thanks

  8. Hi. Here's my current one. No option except side mouldings and a spare wheel. Light is right! I am not a good customer, apart from accessories, this is the cheapest thing you can buy at Toyota :D

  11. For the space of those Auris I used mine to move the house earlier this summer and with the seats down I managed to transport a wardrobe and Ikea day bed plus 2m long mattresses so can’t complain at all. 👍 For the brakes it’s good idea to get them serviced properly , clean and lubricate with silicone grease. I do every two years. Regards

  12. No, it’s not from kids seat, but from the seat rails. Check at the rear footwell there are rails on which front seats are mounted and this plastic bit is a actual cover. Just clip in place and you are all done. Regards

  15. Ref. my previous messages, just to say that after a break to paint our house, I now have installed my Nextbase 312GW in our 2016 Auris Hybrid. Many thanks to those who offered advice, including how access the Toyota repair manual. I bought a £5 moulding remover set to ease off the central light unit (needed some leverage and I did crack it a bit but superglue did a repair), and successfully tapped the mirror circuit.

  16. As we have said this will vary locally i.e. the spec. for e.g. Norway is likely to be different than for the UK which will be different from for Poland etc.. At least in the UK I would be very surprised if the top spec. Corolla didn't have an electrically adjusted & heated driver's seat with memory (a power adjust heated seat is available in the US - not sure if it has memory). A heated steering wheel is an option in Canada (as is a block heater).

  17. Hi, Tried out my security and its the immobiliser and just the double locking system, with the red security led flashing once the doors are locked. No sign or sound of an alarm bleep when set and certainly no radar. I wonder if your alarm has been affected by the battery and airbag disconnection and needs reprogramming rather than a loose wire etc ?? Either way you should take it back to the dealer and ask them to remedy foc if you are sure its stopped as a result of the recall.

  18. Hi guys, got the Driveshaft fitted in successfully today. There was no issues with fittings or the driveshaft itself. Had to change the transmission oil, had old one drained out and put in 1.9L. Went smooth, thanks again Corolla fellows for all the help and advice.

  21. I thought that they might use the saloon (stiffer shell) but I guess they decided that either the improved "dartiness" 😝 of the shorter wheelbase or the marketing advantage of using the hatchback (which I presume they think will vastly outsell the saloon) was better. of course they could have done a Subaru/Volvo & run the TS ... 😍
