  1. Conversely I have an android phone. However you should be able to connect via bluetooth or cable. Depends what you wish to do. Apple Carplay won't work though as per my last post.

  2. If I read your message correct, Ziga, your doing 1100 miles per year, that is about 21 miles per week. Have I read that correct? If so, unless you have lots of money you just want to spend why are you thinking of leasing a gen4 at €17000-€20000, its a nice car but a lot of money for something used 21 miles per week. You could buy a nice gen3 for a more reasonable cost. In the UK the T-Spirit was the top model, but that may not get you leather seats - that must have been an option. You should be very happy whatever you get, but make sure it has had its service every, 12months/10000miles whichever comes first. The gen3 you seen for €9800 (about £8800) would have to be from a dealer, preferably Toyota dealer, and in very good condition....... and haggle down the price, dont show your enthusiasm. If a dealer, go look at another car they got, then slowly work toward the Prius, saying your not too fussed, but asking eventually for a good price.

  3. No. Some versions of the 2018 facelift Aygo have a different head unit which can accommodate Android Auto and Apple Carp!ay.

  4. The name for a long black estate sort of car in which one would take their last journey in life also isn't liked. I think it's because 4 letters within the word spell a rude word for bum.

  5. It depends on conditions, hot weather/cold weather, flat/hilly. I go out of my house and turn right and I immediately on a hill. On a hot day I can go up hill and by the time I going down the other my engine can be off and on battery (if enough energy in store), that’s about a mile. If I go out of my house and turn left I am on the flat, and even on a hot day it could two miles or so before computer changes from engine to battery. In cold weather those distances, both uphill or flat, can be a lot longer.

  6. Agree with Mick F spot on points, what happened to Stop Look And Listen! do people just get more lazy minded as they get older?

  7. The legislation applies to four wheeled vehicles, but not all the other silent vehicles. The legislation needs re-legislating then, or re-thinking about it? I was walking the dog this afternoon, and as we live in a rural Cornish setting, the lanes are narrow and winding with high banks and hills. Which cars can me and the dog hear? All the ones going up the hills, but none of then coming down the hills ............ except bigger vehicles and diesel vehicles generally perhaps. All the others are utterly silent and doing far less than 12mph ........... and bicycles too. Not seen an electric vehicle all year either. Mick.

  8. Hmm so bicycles have to be fitted with the same noise simulator too do they?Another issue which occurs to me is aren't silent vehicles travelling at speeds in excess of 12 miles per hour likely to be a tad more dangerous than vehicles travelling slower than Roger Bannister pace?It amused me the think that the councils are lowering speed limits to 20mph for licensed vehicles only ( speeding bicycles rarely get prosecuted because they are unregistered) thereby increasing pollution and here's europe increasing noise pollution when travelling slowly too. The poor people who live in these built up areas who misguidedly campaign for 20mph speed limits instead of insisting that the law enforce the 30 limit properly. Maybe bicycles could be fitted with noise makers which simulate heavy breathing sounds so the blithering idiots who can't be bothered to look before they cross the road don't get run into. Isnt it about time that the world got sensible with stuff? Why can't pedestrians who are texting and wearing earphones be heavily fined for causing a road traffic incident in addition to unecessary burden on the NHS? I also just had to do a quick check that July1st wasnt the europe equivalent to April 1st.

  10. Yeah, I didnt run this tank down to the last bar but I think it would quite easily have done over 500. When I filled it up it worked out at 64.9mpg. Mind you I only really use it for commuting which is largely dual carriageway/motorway and my journey rarely gets over 60mph due to traffic so its probably under almost ideal conditions for economy but still, I was impressed for an old girl 🙂

  11. If my inverter dies, my first try would buying used inverter(there seem to be many of them at ebay for under 1000€) and install it and then take car to toyota for programming it to the car. Those used inverters are so cheap, that seems there is no ask for those. They sit around long time and they sell them low price. Lowest what i have seen was 2015 rear ended auris inverter for 500€. 47k kms.

  12. We had a 2001 Renault Clio 1.6 16v and the engine was almost silent at walking pace. Many was the time pedestrians were surprised to see a car right behind them. This issue isn't new at all, and it isn't the advent of EVs that have brought it. I'm a keen cyclist. Riding gently in towns, pedestrians are absolutely shocked that a rider is there. It seems to me that pedestrians listen rather than look. Could it be that the problem has been brought about by the rise of the diesel car? What happened with the "audible warning of approach" ................. a bicycle bell or a friendly toot on the horn? Will pedestrians eventually learn to LOOK? Mick.
