  1. I done a quick search and couldn't see any mention of this..... For anybody thats interested, the Geniune front rubber floor mats for the 2019 Corolla HB https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223443984032 also come with the rear mats. It's not mentioned on the Toyota ebay store. Really nice fit too. The standard cloth mats don't look like they'll last 5 minutes.

  2. If it is the stalk switch , its replacement is detailed in the Haynes manual, there is a securing clip that needs to be released, perhaps hard to locate if you are not aware of it. If both bulbs are ok, then probably the switch or a wiring connector around the dash, a simple multimeter test should help identify the problem.

  3. You can fit a full size 15" wheel with 175/65R15 tyre but you will have a large hump in the boot floor, only a space saver will fit in the well and not affect the boot floor level. Toyota do offer an accessory kit that gives is designed for all mk3 Yaris: 42600-0DM51 a 16" Steel space saver pre fitted with a 125/70/D16 tyre 42600-0D900 a box with all the bits needed to fit/use a spare ( cushions x 3, Wheel retainer, floor support, Jack, Jack handle, Wrench & tool bag All comes in for £110

  4. I have a 65 plate Yaris Icon Hybrid and it came with a space saver spare but I believe the well in the boot will accept a normal wheel if you prefer that. You need a 15 inch wheel for a Mk3 Yaris, not one for the Yaris Excel which I believe has 16 inch wheels. You need to decide if you want a steel wheel or a matching alloy. I would go with steel as there are so many different styles of alloys.

  5. Hello Gavioliuk I had the Rav4 2018 for 11 months and like you I had a Landrover Freelander. I loved that Freelander. When I changed to the Rav4 I had one or 2 frustrations, one being the air conditioning control. It took me ages to figure it out. I would set the temperature and put it on auto, the car would be freezing, so I would change the fan speed (takes it off auto) and then I would get good control. The next day I would get in the car and everything seemed to be wrong. I then learnt that for me I would put the car in auto at the temperature I wanted, but would adjust the fan speed, and I would tend to do this for every journey. And I could live with that. Now I have the 2019 model and the temperature controls seem similar to my old Freelander. I set the temperature put on auto and simply forget about it. Then on after, when I got in the car everything is fine I hardly have to play around other that putting on de-misters.

  6. I wonder how the less noise Goodyear tyre would be on snow and ice? 50% less noise is good. A lot of road noise is from the road surface; in UK we have some very noisy roads.

  7. I've tested out another Mclaren cleaning product, and thought I'd share my view on it with you all.

  8. The standard fit is 165/60R15H, and this is what the Goodyear and Black Circles websites will show. One can go up a speed rating, but not down.

  9. Try a new headlamp bulb, one might have blown previously without you knowing. I have seen plenty of cars where BOTH headlamp bulbs have failed

  10. I always thought the 'door draft' was Toyota's way of keeping the door skins dry - helping to prevent rust forming. But, good point, if the draft can get in the cabin, so can noise. I found this the other day, I wonder if anyone has any experience of it. "50% less noise" is a substantial claim! Goodyear Tyre

  11. Exactly, same here, I do a lot of miles so servicing comes around pretty quick, which one will I use? the one that messed me about or the one that was very helpful... hmm let me think.... 😁 Reminds me of the scene in Pretty Woman where they refused to serve her in the posh dress shop, Richard Gere takes her to another shop and they spend an obscene amount of money. On her way home she pops back in the first shop and says you wouldn't serve me today.. you work on commission don't you?...big, big, huge mistake"

  12. Hello Ayhan, sorry to hear of your problem. First of all, this forum is based in the UK, so you not contacted Toyota USA. Secondly, this forum is independent of Toyota motor company, in fact the moderator of this forum says it is very unlikely any Toyota official would read this forum. So, after warranty expires you have a service done at a non Toyota garage. You journey 800 km then have an engine problem - lack of oil, due to the engine oil leakage due to engine oil filter O ring seal not fitted at time of service. That is poor workmanship at that non Toyota garage you had your car serviced at. Have you been back to that garage and informed them that due their neglect (not fitting the O ring) your engine lost most of its oil and now has a serious mechanical failure. That is where the real problem lies, that independent garage. It was their duty of care to perform a professional service on your car which they have failed to due due to their neglect. So, that to me is the real source of your problem. At this moment I assume you been back to the independent garage with the problem...... what did they say?

  13. Hi, The Haynes manual also shows 2 x 15A fuses, so yours sounds correct. When switching On , or Flashing the Full Beam, does the Blue dashboard indicator come on which indicates the switch is working ok. That indicator is supplied by the 15A DOME fuse, so worth checking that as well if it does not light. ( also in the engine bay fuse box) If checking the actual bulbs a torch and small mirror etc are needed if you do not know exactly how the bulbs and wire clips are fitted. Removing the wiring connector from the bulbs pins can be very difficult , if they have not been touched for years.

  14. Presume by 'main' beam, you mean dipped. Have the dipped beam bulbs blown?

  15. East Midlands here. I ordered my Corolla 1.8 hatchback Hybrid Design in late February, shortly after it hit the dealership, but had to wait until June 10th for delivery. In fairness it did arrive 10 days earlier but I was away on holiday (dammit!!). So a good 3+ months wait here. Most frustrating, particularly as the car was being built less than 20 miles up the road from me. Rather like Brexit I kept yelling "Get on with it!!!" every time I passed by the factory, LOL. The only thing you can do is just to put it out of your mind for most of the wait. Agonising, I know, but it will be worth it. I'm delighted with mine. 😊

  16. I'm counting down the hours till Monday now when my new Rav should appear!! The cyan with beige looks really nice though I'm hoping my regret at not ordering that combination myself will be assuaged when I get my own and give it a good mop to get it all nice and shiny... I've said I'm err "working from home" lol

  17. One would hope it would occur to at least some dealers that if you're going to them for a test drive you might use them for servicing etc. if you get the car.

  18. If you download the full manual here: https://www.toyota.co.uk/tme#/my-toyota/eManual there is a long list of customisations, including info on where to change them (dash, info screen or dealer). That's where I found out about the open/close windows (& moonroof if fitted) from the keyfob and was able to ask my dealer to enable this before delivery. On my copy the list starts on P588 of the main manual (beware, on the Gen 4 Prius, the pages numbers changed depending on when the manual was downloaded). Otherwise, you can search for "Customizable Features"). There is a entry in the "Door lock " section "Shift position linked door unlocking function" that unlocks the doors when the transmission "P" is selected, not quite what you seem to want but might work for you. (On my car, opening the drivers door, unlocking via the fob and keyless entry only does the driver's door, but I mostly travel alone). One thing some people might find useful if different people drive a car with the seat position memory, is the "Driving position memory" options, which includes linking each memory button to a key, so that if the first key unlocks the car the seat moves to position 1, and position 2 for the second key.

  19. Avensis makes a good taxi but a 2004 diesel could get expensive on repairs. I would try to find a 2006-on 1.8 VVT (petrol) they are just about bulletproof and fairly cheap to repair .

  20. So, it hasn't been serviced for 47k or merely no record? Have you checked it's MOT record to see if it has had advisories etc. (you may no longer be able to do this though?). At that sort of mileage you are running into the point where things (injectors, clutch/DMF etc) may start to need to be replaced & on a modern common-rail turbodiesel you are probably looking at £1k+ for these if they do go ... Check condition of braked discs & pads etc etc. As far as the petrols pre-facelift 1.8 VVTis could develop an oil-drinking problem - check if they have had the Toyota remedial action or buy a facelift (2006>).

  22. Come on Toyota, your infotainment system is rrrrrubbish. Android and Apple do it better.. Time to bite the bullet, suck it up and release Carplay and Auto for all your vehicles..

  23. Let us hope Toyota tech digits are extracted soon and our "state of the art" Toyota models can catch up with inferior competition who do offer smartphone connectivity? My one and only disappointment with my car.
