  1. Hi All I'm a newbie to this forum but have a new Camry Excel - I had been looking for a new car and had considered a new RAV4, a Lexus ES and a Camry - our Lexus and Toyota dealers are about 200 yards apart so could compare the ES and Camry very easily - to my mind there was little difference between the two apart from a £10K price tag. So I have had it for around 10 days now and done about 1000 miles in it and I’m really pleased with it - mpg is averaging 48 tank to tank, and it’s a really nice drive. OK it’s no sports car but it’s plenty quick enough and really puts you back in your seat when you accelerate and only starts to understeer at the extreme and will spin it’s wheels on lock due to the electric motor torque. The fit and finish are fantastic- OK there are some hard plastics but otherwise it’s as good as most and better than many for the price with excellent paint finish. The infotainment is not as poor as most reviewers pan it for - it links well with my iPhone and it’s a good sounding system and the DAB drops out far less than most other cars I’ve had. I would recommend it to anyone....

  2. Just wondering if anyone is having problems with the "Automatic High Beam". Mine only works 50% of the time so I've just about given up using it.

  3. Well, 6 months into owning a TS Design 1.8, indicated mpg has fallen to 55 from 65+ in the summer. My commute of 10 miles each way is mainly on country roads with hills, bad bends and quarry/farming traffic, limiting speeds to between 45 and 50 mph on average. The colder weather has obviously had a big impact as well, I think, because the ICE has had to run for longer to keep the engine warm, and then there are the headlamps (dark both ways) and seat heaters. But 55 mpg still respectable I think.

  4. Paul, The whole process can take some time, I have just successfully completed it. It took about 90 minutes to download and transfer 2019v2 files of 11.8GB to a good size USB stick, and then 2 hours to load it into the car (with engine running,as instructed as it wanted to) I had the same message as you at first, as I had forgotten one of the 22 digit authentication code. I could not find any way to turn the car lights off and have the Engine run whilst the car was in my garage, with the door half open ! You could give Toyota Technichal help a call 0344 7016202 or Email them about your problem from the MyToyota website, I have found them most helpful, and very quick to answer my queries , although they could not find a way to keep the car exterior lights off during the above procedure. It seems a bit crazy to me really, to have to have the car ready to drive, the engine running on and off for 2 hours, what happens if you do not have a well ventilated garage, ? you certainly could not leave the car like that on a road or drive. Good luck Paul (Cardiff)

  10. It's an interesting time, and something has needed to be done for a while now. My videos have been marked "not for kids" for some time now, and sadly as nice as it would be to make money, I make 0p from my videos. Even some of my established "YouTube" friends that have 15,000 to 100k views per video, don't make much money, especially compared to our American friends, which make on average 4 to 5 times more. For me it's a "scrap book" of what I'm doing, something to refer people to if they want to know about my car (not many do). I've just filmed episode 68 of my car show tonight (in the rain lol) which gives me content right through until the 16th of February, but I have so much more to do. If at the end of the day I have to change platforms, I will do so, and possibly host my own videos on a blog style page 😄
