  1. Anonymm I am largely retired now but I have over 30 years experience in the motor trade, buying/selling/repairing cars. Believe me when I say that you won't get far fixing an AC system without at least pressure gauges and some experience. For example your problem could be a faulty pressure switch, which would shut down the system. I know car repairs are very expensive in Norway, but AC faults do not respond well to a 'poke and hope' approach. You have to use a technician.

  2. Today I changed the water pump on my '58 (2009) Avensis, after noticing the noise. I ordered a Meyle pump online from a seller who sold other brands. The kit also had the gasket and three longer bolts due to the thicker mounting points. Beware of kits that may not have the longer bolts! After draining the coolant I removed the belt and started undoing the bolts to the water pump. I had only removed the engine and battery cover, but no other panel. I could have removed the panel by the wheel arch, to get to the lower bolt to the panel. That bolt was fiddly to remove and replace. The pumps look different as the photos show, but fit perfectly. The difference in thickness of the bolts, plus longer bolts to compensate. I fitted a new belt and noticed it was shorter on the adjustment. 12 mm was used on all bolts except the for the lower alternator support bolt, which is 14 mm. I used genuine Toyota long life coolant mixed with de-ionised water. I didn't want to use tap water, and it's cheaper than pre-mixed coolant. Will check coolant level tomorrow. The old pump bearing is rough and noisy, when spun by hand. Caught in good time.

  4. At the end of the day, it's a deterrent. If someone really wants your cat they'll get it, as destructively as needs be. But generally they'll go for the easy targets.

  6. When I started using Techstream 5 years back, the version I had worked initially, but i didn't understand the functions. Then at the beginning of 2019 when I messed the EPB, I decided to give it another try. I found a place to download version 12, then loaded it to my old netbook. I already had the mini VCI cable. I already had Dephli loaded with another interface cable loaded on the same netbook. I had to play with Techstream to learn all the features and how to use it. It did what my other diagnostic tools couldn't do and cleared the fault! I found a menu that cleared any cautions and warning on the display, not just the fault code. It was in a different menu to the parking brake, if I remember correctly. Hopefully you will learn and find a way to clear your issue.

  8. Parts can be a bit pricey and not always on the shelf, V5 - anything upto 6 weeks, post around here has been very slow there are a few places that do hybrid pack rebuilds should you need it, if its got its original 12V battery don't be surprised if it needs replacing, Its an AGM type made by Yuasa and 2-3 times the price of a standard battery Blueprint list plenty of service parts for these, some parts are japan only tho so have a look at buyee and/or croooober

  9. Hi Alan, I have 4 sat navs on the app....Toyota Touch & Go...... Toyota Touch and Go (CY17),...… Toyota 2 with Go Gen 1 ……. Toyota 2 with Go Gen 2., I don't have Touch and Go Pro with real buttons, which would be either a 5th one or it replaces one of the other ones that I am getting on the app. The app that I have must be different from yours for some reason.
