  1. Before turning off the prius at the end of a drive, set the A/C temperature to LO. On the next drive you can manually turn on the fan and the A/C will blow cold air and the ice will stay off (no heat required). Crank up the fan to get a decent flow of air. After a few minutes press the front screen demist. 9 times out of 10 the cold air will be directed to the windscreen and the ICE will stay off.

  2. Buying cheap tyres is never a good idea to my mind. Tyres are the only thing ensuring that your car goes where you want and stops when you want.

  3. Update, not knowing if a space saver will fit under the seat, I've bought a good condition steel rim from a seller on an internet auction site and have fitted a brand new non directional budget brand tyre to it. The intention is to keep it in the garage and if we suffer a flat, then at least we can keep the car running without the restrictions that come with a space saver. Total cost, £70. Our intended use of the IQ will always be for local use, so in the worst case we should be able get the tyre out to the car with no issue.

  9. I did the update over a month ago and I love it, haven't used the Toyota system once since. I use Waze for traffic information and Apple Music + Spotify daily, the update has really made me appreciate my car even more.

  10. Thanks Catlover. Cleaned the filter but not too dirty. On reflection I believe there was some luggage and wine purchases in the space behind the drivers seat when the incidents happened

  11. When a car has a problem like this, yes I do expect Toyota get in touch, they are the makers of the car and should do the Wright thing and get in touch with owners and put it Right, end of
