  3. Having owned my Auris for about 15 months, mostly for short trips of less than 10 local miles, getting an average of 40MPG. Sadly I had to shoot cross country to a family funeral, about 140 miles each way. M56, M60 & M62 from North Wales to East Yorkshire doing 70 where I could, car returned 67.6 MPG indicated. Coming back, as in no hurry, cruised at 60. MPG returned was 74.8 indicated. Given that the computer is probably a bit over optimistic, I guess it did around 60 and 70 mpg. but non the less, I'm pretty please with that. I'll brim it and see what it really did.

  5. When you see how easy it actually is you'll kick yourself! From memory at first sight it looks way more difficult than it is. First time I had a bulb blow I struggled, but after owning the car for a while and changing a couple of rear bulbs it becomes a 5 minute job.

  6. BluePrint or SKF both around the £100 mark you get, what you pay for

  7. And rather than pay Toyota's exorbitant price for a pure platinum part, it must be for well over £200 each, buy a perfectly good and quality equivalent. e.g. Blueprint (Bilstein Group) ADT38387. Other makes available!

  10. That price is a joke, i doubt they are that worn unless your using it as a race car, Autos can be heavy on the front brakes, can you take a pic of the discs ?? Another reason i hate Main Stealers, the upsell At worst in may need a set of pads

  13. "outlast the automatic in terms of reliability" In my view this statement is untrue and I would like to know where it comes from.

  14. My experience is you have to be careful with these long time well known products, tyres being one of them. Dunlop may not be the brand you once knew it was. A lot of drivers still dont know that Volvo is owned by a large Chinese company Geely Holding (2010), and before that Ford (1999). Same with vacuum cleaners, todays Hoover vac cleaners are not the same as they once were.
