  1. Depends if you mean the Yaris GR or the GR Yaris The Yaris GR is just a normal Mk4 Yaris Hybrid with big rims, while the GR Yaris is the front half of a Yaris Mk4 and the rear half of a Corolla, with the world's most powerful production 1.6 litre inline 3 cylinder engine, and one of the lightest AWD drive trains. It was built because Toyota wanted to completely obliterate all the competition in the World Rally, which requires them to actually make and sell the car they're basing their rally car on, but ironically because of the coronavirus they never got to field it! It's a damned shame as I would have loved to see how it fared against the competition! It's probably one of the best cars you can buy for hooning around back roads and general driving enjoyment without needing a 2nd mortgage, and is likely the last one of it's kind before everything goes EV.

  2. We have seen a lot of Yaris hatchbacks, almost all of them hybrids: in Rome, Athens and south of France too, all in 2022. It seems to be very popular.

  3. New Lexus UX price in Greece starts at 34900 euros or £29600 at today's exchange rate. It's got a 2 litre engine, 184 bhp, hybrid.

  6. Best looking car I’ve seen in a long time, hope the production version is as close to this as possible 👍😎

  8. I'm not at all surprised - it's a brilliant car. I am regularly seeing 75mpg and that's around Cornwall with lots of hills. When I drive to Belgium I see 80+mpg because it's flatter. Brilliant car.

  10. Correct, however the initial PR from Toyota (also the top of this page) stated it included the hatchback. CarWow specs for MY23 also listed it on the Excel hatchback.

  11. The kick sensor is on the touring sports excel and gr sport not the hatchback

  12. My Excel with pano roof is on order. The descriptions above aren't entirely accurate, having spoken to Toyota UK. There's no tailgate kick sensor on the Excel apparently.

  13. It's not so much the list price it's the monthlies. These are now slighty less than the Focus I had. The Focus was a nice car but the Corolla is a much better product. I like kit in general but I actively detest bsm in any car I've known it. Constant pointless bongs 🤣

  14. Good luck. Did u not think the product is overpriced? Wot? Cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring available only on top models? C'mon Toyota.

  16. Agreed. The whole point is the absurd overpricing of the facelifted Corolla.

  17. The other thing I didn't like about my new corolla was it arrived incomplete without a bonnet matt, which meant the bonnet woulden't close properly as the bonnet is so lightweight along with no engine cover, leading to excess heat on the bonnet. This is now the normal for many corolla cars in going forward. Also, the overall paintwork is so so and overall in general a very lightweight plastic car whereas the Lexus basic model fully complete and overall very heavy and solid car I now have the Lexus and find it overall very solid and very quiet to drive on the run flat tyres and hope that continues. The door seals are a work of art, iv'e never seen such thickness on any car irrespective of price.
