  1. thanks for your first reply indeed, that reply is really helpful to me. but i try to listen to more suggestions as what the human being normally do. i hope you would understand. many thanks my friend, don't ***** on it.
  2. thanks for you reply firstly. when the garage phoned me to confirm the repair job they said i have a big problem as they also need to change cat converter. I think they did but no sure as i don't know about the job and i saw the repaired car when i pick up the car. do you think i shall change a new sensor or just leave it? will it cause any problems ? how much the toyota part ? or where i can quoted it from online except toyota??? any website? thanks a lots.
  3. Hi, My friends here. Please help...... My Toyota is 2002 toyota corolla 1.6t3 vvti hatchback AUTOMATIC. Last November, I send my car to garage because my middle exhaust was broken and resulted in big noisy and very little power. the garage said my middle part of exhaust has to be changed, ok. they replace the middle part of exhaust (under the front seat the middle exhaust part)and charged me 450 pounds for that. This February I found the engine is on, it might was on before Feb because I don't pay attention to the watch, then I sent back to garage, the garage didn't found the problem but switch it off(they didn't charge me for checking). In march, the engine light come back on again and then the garage check it and said it might caused by sensor(he show me one is on the engine part and one is under the driver seat), they said it won't effect driving and suggest me they can help me to change 2 sensor if the light on again ((they didn't charge me for checking and they quoted me 1 sensor about 150pound). This time i took a picture shows as below what the computer show the fault is. 2 days after that, the light was on again again so I went to kwit-fit and shows them the computer examined picture, they told me because the exhaust replacement is not the toyota genuine origin manufacture one and he said there are lots of toyota got this problem because non- toyota genuine replacement, so the air doesn't smoothly get thought the exhaust, he said there is nothing about the sensor, they said it won't effect my driving and just need to turn yellow off in garage before my car send to do MOT every year. Honestly, I am very worry about the engine on this case, could you please advise what should I do? i have some following questions. 1. can you please tell me what does the picture problem means? is it this problem cuased by exhaust replacement? 2. does this problem very normal due to non-exhaust replacement replaced? 3. does it has any relative with sensor ? how much will they cost? will the yellow engine light off if i change both senor (one is on the engine part and one is under the driver seat)? 4, whose responsibility for this fault??? does the garage who replaced exhaust part for me has the responsibility to this fault ? because the light was on before the replacement. Please give me as more as advises you can help me with this. Thanks you very much.
  4. Hi, Just looked back on your previous posts - you want to include that info in your profile - so many variants. You do not say how many miles it has done which helps say whats needed, assume you have no receipts from the last service to show what parts were fitted ? Call in at your local Toyota dealer and they should give you a good idea of cost, all standard service jobs prices are well known but you want to ask if they include things like I mentioned earlier. They will of course quote top dollar but at least you will have a benchmark to go against. As for other garages, well best if you can find one other folk use and recommend, even the one/two man small backtreet places can be good if you find the right one. now the millage is about 46000 only, and full service show on done last july as its stamp on book only, but I don't have receipt only stamp. please help!!!! is there any part do usually includeing into the quotation ??? thanks
  5. Believe you have got a 2002 1.6 Auto ? You do not say what the mileage is or what has been done on previous recent services. The term Full Service can be interpreted by who ever is doing the service - many things are classed as extras not covered by the term Full Service. The previous owner of my car had it "fully serviced" just before I bought it but half the things that should have been done at 4 years old were not. Apart from standard things like engine oil and air filters, spark plugs, brakes and checks on the transmission fluid etc there are several things often classed as chargeable extras. You should be having the pollen filter renewed if needed, the brake fluid changed if over 2 years since last done, the cooling system antifreeze changed if needed ( depends on what its filled with now) If you look in your Toyota handbook /sevice boolklets, if you have them, they show the schedule of works they recommend. A book like the Haynes Manual is good even if you are using a garage to do the work, the manual at least let you know what to look at to check things have been done properly - tha manual has a big section on regular service items and schedules. Thanks. how do you know my one is 2002 1.6 Auto ? my one had full service on last july on books but i don't know it was real as i brought it from private dealer. so i want to do a real service, is it a good idea on toyota garage adviced above by someone? will it be very expensive???thanks
  6. Hi, I might need to do FULL SERVICE for my corolla in next month. and I got quotation from some garage and prices are all difference, £180 to £100. Please tell me normally how much do this FULL SERVICES charge? and what is full service including? thanks.
  7. as far as people told me here. brake pipe is a easy job that can be done in 1 hours at most. i am thinking should i go for 70pound garage for fix but i also thing the retest will cost half price of total mot, so difficult to decide how can i go , ****.
  8. even 30 pound can be save then i want to save it . any idea about this ?
  9. thanks I am going to buy wiper in shop shortly. and i came back to mot garage and negotiated that it might too expensive for me, then the boss said it might need to take lot of thing on the bottom of car before fix the pipe and she said it might can minimize the time to be 1.5 hours labour cost and she is not sure as well. as most people adviced that the best way to do is fix those mot problems in the mot garage, get the mot and walk away. please tell me how and what should i said to them for mentioned that the boss already told they it might take 1.5 hours and short the cost when i booking the appointment in mot garage? is it also good to tell them i will be there and watching them fixing the car???? many thanks. i beleave if a vehicle fails a test for minor items,it can be taken away for repair then returned to the garage by the end of the following day and be retested free. but if its taken away for major repairs as yours is,then you have 10 days to do these repairs and return the it to the garage for retest then the fee is half the normal fee. what i am saying you could get the repairs done else where.then have the first garage do the retest. where is the car now is it still with the testing garage.are they going to charge for a full retest when finished the repairs.its up to you to work out your cheapest options. when your watching them fixing your car, do know enough about motor repairs to understand what they are doing or not doing.i think its best to bite the bullet and get them to fix your car.its a job to find garage you can trust.you can only find one thats reccomended by others. now the car was drive out the mot garage and with me now. they said it is free retest in 10 days even it had been fixed in other garage but i just consider will it fail again due to it have not been done by themselves. Please teach me how and what should i say to them when i making a appointment to mot garage, because i just want to see whethere they can finish in 1.5hour as the boss said it might be 1.5 hours for saving my money, but do not want them ***** me off. what should i say ???? tell them they can do the job at price for 1.5 hours,if not you will get it done elsewhere.if they find other faults then complain and tell them that you will dispute their testing, which you can do.there should be a poster displayed at every mot station showing all information about the mot.it will also inform you how can dispute exam results. when you go to them next ask where this poster is displayed and make sure they see you studying it. i rang them and the boss was available and nobody ring me back. so i rang them again and the staff asked me for booking and she said they are not sure that they can finish in 1.5 hours but 2 hours cost will be the max. and i mentioned i came there garage due to my friend recommend me to do it there. she laughed. and booking time will be one week to go. i have no idea at tall. if i take repair in 70pound garage, the mot retest might cost me another half price of 50pound. very big bullet in mine mind!!!
