  1. Yeh can we not promote insurance fraud =/ Thats part the reason everyone complains about their insurance premiums. Get with the real world, like it or not 99% of the population if they got hit from behind would claim it's a fact of life. I'm part of the real world mate, my job was to investigate those claims... just because people are doing it doesnt make it right! People shop lift on a daily basis, does it mean I should walk into tesco and steal a loaf of bread because other people are doing it? You may see it as 'getting what your owed' but your defrauding an insurer... not sure if you'd have the same attitude if you were in front of a Judge with charges of Fraud. In case you want a definition of fraud "Wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain" What a looser you are... never did I say it was wright nor wrong, it happens and thats that. No point crying about it. Who do you think you would be doing a favour if you had an accident and didn't claim? You wont be getting everyone else cheaper insurance, insurance companies will rape you for insurance either way. I'd gaurantee if it were the other way around and you caused an accident the other person would claim!.People are to quick to shoot people down on this forum, for what? saying what happens in the real world. If everyone didnt have the mentality of 'Oh lets just claim for whiplash' then yes your insurance would go down... The fact that you have the mentality of saying 'Ahh lets just claim for an injury I dont have to make a few quid' then of course its going to affect your insurance because your hardly helping the situation. Call me a loser all you want buddy, doesnt bother me =]
  2. Because they have an awful claims handling team that don't understand anyone on the public highway has right of way over people manouvering on a drive way. Although, the third party could argue they were already on the road then it gets a bit messy.

  5. I guess the world is changing... gone are the days of big engines. VW is getting 180bhp from a 1.4 (twincharger engine) and I think almost every manufacturer is getting on board with turbocharging small engines for power/torque/mpg gains and low emissions. A 1.0 engine with over 100bhp is insane!
  6. Yeh turbocharging is the way forward. Nissan have wacked a supercharger on their micra mind!
  7. It must be down to what the 'average' customer wants, I guess sporty models dont sell in big numbers like a 1.4 engine would etc =/ And down to emissions I spose! Its a shame though, some people look at a car as a means of transport, others look at it as a hobby and part of their life! Manufacturers are constantly fighting for lowest co2 emissions and highest MPG... I guess having a sporty model in the line up doesnt help the matter. Its a shame, the TCE is insane, love the sound of a supercharger whining! (reminds me of the mini cooper s)
  8. Every once in a while they make a really sporty car... and then the model gets phased out pretty quickly Corolla T Sport lasted about 2 years? They wacked a supercharger on it (thats daring for Toyota).. and that model didnt last long? The yaris t sport Auris SR180, big lump of a diesel engine with masses of torque Instead they leave the model line up with nothing remotely sporty and the most powerful engine in the Auris being a 1.6 and a 1.33 petrol in the yaris? Those toyota designers must be going bonkers! They're clearly able to do it... Look at Honda and the Type R civic, its being phased out due to emissions I think?
  9. Always loved blue cars but that blue is just..... *drool*
  10. Few questions about the rolla What kind of real world mpg does the 1.6 pull? And what sort of revs does it sit on at 70mph? Looking at one this colour which quite frankly is getting me a tad turned on! . Are they ok for tall drivers ie? 6'3?
  11. Been looking at the 1.0 but a bit worried as I work up in the valleys and quite a few hills and just a tad worried it may struggle (hence opting for either the 1.3 or derv) Thanks for your response too :)
  12. Ello all looking into getting a Mark 2 Yaris (2006-2011) Looking at either the 1.3 (not 1.33) or 1.4 d4d but depends on price Are both engines pretty solid Anything I Need to watch in these cars? Just want something that is reliable and will get me back and forth to work with low costs Also, would a 6'3 driver fit comfortably in one? Dont mind so much about rear passenger space.
