  1. There is quite a few options for the IQ to be honest. If I had to buy again I would steer to the H&R springs. The Eibach Pro Kit was good but pretty close to standard in terms of ride comfort. However it gave the perfect stance being 25mm fronts and 30mm rears. The Genuine Toyota springs seem good as they have had well documented reviews both on here and elsewhere. Good luck with your new IQ, you'll start to really enjoy it :)

    New Owner

Welcome :D 66mpg.. that is very impressive!!
  3. Great pics Taz. The silver IQ with the gold wheels looks fab! Yours is certainly different nowadays too, quite suits them wheels. Thanks for sharing :)
  4. To get a rough estimate here's what I put mine up for 2months ago, but decided to keep it as not letting her go for stupid money. I originally put my 2009 plate IQ base model, 31,000miles, FSH, loads of extras plus safety recalls completed.. the lot for £5600. After a month I kept lowering it and got it down to £5100 before I took the advert down and made the decision to keep it for good. Only had 3 people interested in this time, 2 asked for stupid money and another didn't get back to me. The price I put mine up for was in between the dealer price and private. But because it's clean as a whistle and has all of the above.. I know for a fact it's worth 100% the price I put her up for. Remember the price up here in Scotland will be different from say in London, England, but will hopefully give you an estimate on what to put yours up for. Word of advice... IQ's aren't what they were worth a few years ago so I would reconsider if needs must. I now refuse to sell mine as I've spent good money on it getting it up to my standard and it gets anything it needs. A guy 35 miles away from me had his IQ up for £3700 with around 40,000 miles on it on a 2009 plate... absolutely madness!! It's worth much more than this and sadly his advert wasn't up for long!!
  5. Great news for you! Wish Western Toyota here in Fife were that helpful!!
  6. Take a look through this long but informative 17 page thread. Explains all about the EGR problem and what the issues are :-) http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/136556-important-if-your-warranty-is-about-to-run-out/
  7. I'm talking about the middle console section where the handbrake gearstick plastic is. The plastic unit between the seats.. whatever it is officially called lol

Are those standard IQ3 lights? Or have you had them tinted?

    Discount Card

Received mine too this morning :-)
  10. Question - I removed the centre console a while ago but couldn't figure how it 'clipped' back in? It' just wobbles about as it's not clipped in and have tried my best to make it secure without any luck. It's the whole centre console where the handbrake/cupholder is. Nearest the dashboard. Any help would be appreciated :)
  11. For Sale is our very clean Toyota IQ in a beautiful Pearlescent White with only 30050 miles from new. (Mileage will increase as it's a daily car) It comes with FSH, 1 Years MOT, full stamped log book and a pile of receipts from warranty work & serviceable items. All the warranty and servicing bulletin codes have been corrected by Western Toyota which is a rare sight on IQ's. This car benefits from; FREE road tax, very cheap to insure (group 2), costs just £35 to fill and gets fantastic mpg. The car has also had a machine polish & wax applied as well as getting washed weekly and will come with the new wheels/tyres pictured that are only a few months old! Fantastic car with VERY low miles. Selling due to needing a van for our business. Next MOT due 09/05/2015, Tax expires 01/08/2014. £5,700 (Located: Fife, Scotland)

    Wheels

If you search the forum you'll find a few good topics on this :) I've got 205/45/17 wheels and tyres with a ET37. I went for this offset as I've always wanted a good base if I had to put coil overs on it but your get away with an ET40 with ease as many on here have this. Don't go wider than a 215 wide tyre if your planning on lowering, which your not so should be fine but a 215 tyre or wider might scrap the inner fender as the IQ's turning circle is so tight.

    Full Service

This is why I get a local mechanic to do my services or I do them myself. Wouldn't trust anyone, especially main dealers. They will try everything in the book to mug you and do little as possible. But I do understand some people want a fully stamped 'Toyota' service book so personal choice :)

    Scottish Meet

Falkirk, Perth, Edinburgh are all on the table and a goer from me :)

    Scottish Meet

I'm easy either way.. The most popular location that people put on the list, that's the one it shall be :-)
  16. The Assasins look good on the IQ. I haven't seen this wheels on an IQ but must say, they suit it well. Good choice :)

    Front Spats

Just a bit harsh! He probably did however find them under his seats, dunno why I sold them tbh!

    Front Spats

    Ha ha that's awesome

    Front Spats

It's for aerodynamics I heard, slightly improving mpg. I'm just on the look out for a set again as stupidly sold them! Also sold the rear headrests for some reason and probably should have kept them so looking for them too lol

    Front Spats

Sorry didn't expect such a reply! I actually meant a few cm higher as I went from 15" to 17" wheels but have added 35mm lowering springs since then! I think they look better.. No other reason than my front end looks too 'cute' as few folk have said lol! I've tried eBay but can't see yet any IQ's that are breaking but probably a good shout. Just wondered if anyone had them and didn't need or knew where I could get them as Mr T will most likely be a small fortune :-(

    Front Spats

Anyone know where i can get these from? Nowhere seems to sell them. They are the front rubber guards that fit in front of each front wheel. NOT mudguards I may add. I sold mine a whole ago as they scrapped on speed ramps but now I have the bigger wheels, the car is 2" higher so want them back. I've checked the usual sites and nobody selling them. Thoughts?

    Scottish Meet

Right, I think it's about time a meet here in Scotland gets underway so let's see who's interested and we can go from there. Never had a IQ meet before and doesn't seem to be any in this country so let's start with rough numbers and I'm thinking in the next month or two (dates will be confirmed depending on numbers.) Location: Hermiston Gate, Edinburgh? Neutral location but we can all decide a better location depending where everyone lives. Had a few meets here in previous cars and seems popular. Plus you have Krispy Kreme! :-) Ill start with my name, preferred location of the meet and available dates.. Please copy and paste your names as below. 1. Aaron, Edinburgh, May/June.
  23. Remember it isn't all the cars fault when you don't achieve your 60 MPG claims. Wind, road condition, road gradient, road direction, tyre pressure, vehicle weight when driving, servicing internals and interior controls such as air conditioning and heating system can ALL hamper your MPG figures. That is only a few to mention. The IQ is a very fragile and small car so the slightest turbulence of wind can massively affect the MPG as I have witnessed many times. Traffic is also a huge factor, sit on a straight road and your MPG will shot right up, sitting at traffic lights, going through roundabouts all point the MPG figure down. Not saying your car wont manage the 60 MPG your wanting, as you seem to be achieving this, which is impressive but very little things DO affect the MPG in this car as it's so small. I'd be very happy of what your getting Bob, how many miles are you returning from your MPG?
  24. I've just refilled, so to give people an indication of recent fuel economy here's my last tankful results: On JET fuel: Managed 330 miles until the last bar started flashing, averaging 54mpg. I take note of my miles covered when the last bar starts flashing or 5 miles into it. I've used every fuel for a good month or two for positive results and can tell you my IQ likes JET fuel. Asda I get around 50mpg and any premium fuel is around 45 - 48mpg. Very interesting you might say.. I'm quite light footed in the IQ as I bought it for this in mind as I do some driving for work.
