  1. Hello I have a January 2011 2 wheel drive RAV4 - I've been offered wheels from a breaker (I want to fit winter tyres), the code of the wheels offered 17x7J 45 4P J DOT 53. The code on the back of one of my wheels is the same except for the DOT part - mine is DOT 55. What does this DOT part mean and would DOT 53 wheels fit my car? Thanks for any help John
  2. Thank you for that information Anchorman. John
  3. Hello Kev I entered my car profile when I negotiating to buy a 2009 - it had a mystery warning light on so I didn't buy it. I bought the 2011 because it had 3.5 years warranty on it and I wouldn't need to worry about mystery lights. I've now changed my car profile. John
  4. My 2011 Rav has no spare wheel. Two questions 1. Does the plastic stuff in the boot come out to reveal a spare wheel space? 2. Has anyone a supplier of wheels they could recommend? John
  5. The local Toyota dealer has quoted £600 for fitting a towbar and single electrics. The independant tow bar people want around £300. Problem is my Rav is still in warranty. Is it safe to give the job to a specialist tow bar fitter. Some cars are already fitted with a socket to connet the electrics, is it so with a RAV?
  6. I've got a 2 wheel drive RAV. I had winter tyres for the front of my previous car - a Corolla. They got me around in the snow without problems. I looked for a supplier of steel wheels and winter tyres for the RAV. The one place I found that offers steel wheels seems to think they should be 16". My Tyres are 17". Would it matter much if I fitted 16" wheels to it for the winter months?
  7. Which bike? I've got 5 - and thanks for the advice on posting in the correct place.
  8. Thanks for that reply. I shall arrange to try the car. I've heard a lot of good things about them and quite fancy a high riding position car. I'm not related to Kingo - all my family are in the East Midlands or South Wales.
  9. Hello I went to swap my Corolla for a Rav4 last saturday. All was looking good until I spotted a lit warning light on the dash - in the bottom part of the instrument cluster. It was a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it. The salesman told me it was a low fuel warning - but there was an LCD display with low fuel showing - so why the light.? I got home and downloaded the owners handbook for a 2009 Rav. Two pages of warning lights - none as described above. I have googled and this question appears to have been asked a lot and had many different answers. What's the light for?
