  1. Thanks Pete, the set up you describe with the on/off etc is on my centre console above the rear passenger seats and I also have the boot light. the one in the front tho only has a push on/off and on the other side of the light is the s/roof control. the rear passenger light and boot light dim as you describe but nothing on the front one unless I manually turn it on and off.
  2. I've got a 99 est. admittedly its an old one but its petrol, very quiet and considering it has 145k on it, runs like a dream. I used to ne a taxi driver and always had diesels bar a Mondeo which went like a bullet and was a lot of fun. I don't think I would get another diesel, simple jobs mean a visit to the bank manager where as most petrol jobs can be done on the drive..... I may be right, I may he wrong, but I'm happy with my petrol.
  3. I've found that when power steering fluid is low and air is drawn into the system it makes a loud squeal. topping up while engine is running and having someone turn the wheel works a treat! good luck.
  4. Hi, I'm new to Toyota cars and I have an Avensis est 99. I thought the light between driver and passenger would illuminate when a door was opened? Mine doesn't, I have to manually turn it on/off. Is this usual?
