  1. I would send a personal message, however, my messaging facility has been withdrawn by somebody far superior to myself, a higher being, one who looks upon people such as myself as vermin, barely worthy of drawing breath, dirty and worthless. Never mind, must dash, I've all my Christmas presents to buy and pound land closes at 5 o'clock.
  2. Sorry i didn't comment on this post earlier, I hit a pothole this morning, the floorpan detached from the body…. R. Usty
  3. Welcome to the club Phil, what the collective forum members don't know about Rav's ain't worth knowing….. :)
  4. Oh well, keep looking, when things don't first appear right, they usually aren't….
  5. Oh yes they do, apart from the plate change months, it is one of our busiest times, particularly between xmas and New Year Most companies have a strict 60 day policy. There might be a "perceived" 2K profit in a car, but you are right, the dealer pays VAT on the profit left in the car. The dealer has to put a large profit in the xar as when it is in stock for two months, the depreciation, bank charges, stocking costs all start to eat in massively. The dealer may then have to over alow on a part exchange to move the car on, realisticly you are looking at about 800-1000 profit, unless of course it flies off the forecourt and does not need much prep and recon, then they are quids in, but that does not happen often Kingo Mr T who we deal with amazed me when he said that majority of his buyers, in particular elderly Yaris buyers don't barter at all. I've always played hard ball when buying anything of high value, Mrs Denshaw is lethal in such situations…...
  6. Soon to be recognised as a criminal offence…….Section 54, making just and reasonable comments on a public forum. Punishable by 1 week solitary confinement in the general discussion section.
  7. I was 54'd recently for welcoming a new member to a specific forum……... http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/154073-new-member/
  8. As a Rav owner I'm sure Niklaus will find the Corolla and detailing forum captivating……..
  9. It's 18 miles from me, just not sure which direction…...
  10. This one Paul ? It has to be worth a look, especially as it's a one owner car, http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201311280207165/sort/default/usedcars/postcode/ol35tx/page/1/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/make/toyota/price-to/2000/model/hilux/radius/1501?logcode=p
  11. Now then Liz ! ….I'm surrounded by such animals all day and have no unusual habits I will have you know ! I came across it on the blog of a Toyota dealer, here's another to chuckle at……..
  12. Incase you're still undecided………… I came across this….
  13. Brilliant Hi-lux advert....
  14. Unwrapped- http://images.cdn.autocar.co.uk/sites/autocar.co.uk/files/imagecache/article_image_480/CX17-LA1_0.jpg Your thoughts Dave ?
  15. From my experience, it quite simply depends on the dealer. My local dealer, or should I say their sales manager, has a 'take it or leave it' attitude, we always give them the chance of our business but the last seven cars we have bought have come from two dealerships 35 and 120 miles from home, where brand new cars were involved the prices varied between £600 and almost £1600 It all very much depends on who needs to sell what at a given time, from experience, a morning spent shut away on the telephone will normally get you the car you want at a price you're happy with and the price differences will astound you . Having said that, drive the deals 'deal' is very very competitive, however, …………shop around. **** Paul min.......your local dealer has lost oot on seven cars fgs......? You have MUCH more patience than me.........3 strikes and mine was given a permanent red card. Service side........faultless thus far in 5 years. Sales.......remember (Jimmy)Rockford Files......." I'll get back to you.....".....? Didnae........ Unbelievable isn't it ! Unless you walk in, believe everything they tell you and consider screen price plus a complimentary air freshener a great deal they aren't interested. Some weeks after I bought last 4.3 they called me still trying to sell me a car and hinted i might be 'bending the truth' when I told them what i paid elsewhere !…. Yaris went for service a week or so later so i went to say 'hello' and happened to take the invoice with me. Not expecting a Christmas card from them this year Pity…... because the service department are excellent,

  17. Good advert on PH Charlie, it would certainly get a look from me if i were in the market for such a car. It's certainly the right time of year to be selling a Rav in that price bracket. As for buying a new Invincible…..there are so many about ! I paid £25.630 for ours (63 plate), manual box with pearl, mats, flaps, boot mat and rear bumper protector. I was pleased with that.
  18. Welcome to the club, I'm sure you will find the Rav forum useful…..
  19. The general profile of this looks very awkward to me. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/jaguar/84833/jaguar-4x4-pictures
  20. Listers in Nuneaton have several colour choices at £24,495, all 63 reg manual invincibles with under 1k miles.
  21. I've had a set of winter continentals on my Rav for the past three winters, they transform an already very capable vehicle, I put a set of winter dunlops on one Yaris last year and the difference is incredible…....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clSC7APitaQ
