  1. Thanks for the help so far, I’m still looking, I need the driver side and in the exact same colour you linked @paul9. I am so desperate to find one that I don’t even care about the colour anymore 😂
  2. Hi everyone, I recently bought a 2010 avensis estate with a broken wing mirror cover. I thought it’s going to be easy to source and fit one as it’s just a piece of plastic but so far I’ve been unable to find a place selling these. The only place I’ve found was a toyota avensis breaker who’d sell the whole wingmirror for £150. Any ideas where could I find one? Many thanks
  3. Managed to find the ecu. Now I need to find which is pin24 on j10 to find out if i have a wire or not. If someone can help identifying would be much apreciated.
  4. Hi guys, After reading in here and other places how easy it is to retrofit the cruise control I decided to do it on my 2003 53reg Avensis D4D T3-S. Because I wanted a leather steering wheel I decided to buy the complete steering wheel from another Avensis. After fitting the new wheel nothing happened as I feared. Is there any way it can be done? I decided that I will make it work regardless of cost. Is there someone here who managed to do it on a 2003 d4d? I heard that I need a clutch control switch, I have it. The only problem is that I cannot find the ecu to check the wiring. Can anyone help me with the ecu location and what wire to look for? Thanks in advance
  5. Trying to figure out what does this hose do and where do I need to connect it back. Any help apreciated. Sorry for "stealing" the pictures :)
  6. Alright, i made a big mistake, that hose doesn't even connect to the EGR, so i have no idea what is that and where it comes from, the idea is that is loose. As you can see in the picture it's right near the EGR valve. Could someone identify that hose and tell me please where does it come from, cause it's an air hose.
  7. This is the hose i'm talking about, it's loose on both sides and I don't know where to connect it back.
  8. It's the small hose which is for air I think. That is disconnected and I don't know where to connect it back.
  9. HI. I recently bought a 53 Avensis 2.0L D4D. About 2 weeks ago it started to develop a strange problem. When I start the engine it's idling at 800rpm and not 1000 as I was used to but drives ok for a couple of miles. After a couple of miles at around 2000rpm it loses all the power of the turbo and revs really hard till about 3000rpm and than regains full power. The EGR is disconnected from both sides, I mean the small rubber pipe from it is loose on both sides (I bought the car like this but worked flawlessly till now). I know it sounds silly but I'm not a mechanic (yet :D, hope to learn some things here). I've tried to put it on tester but the tester from the garage gave us the error "car battery low, can not communicate" so I have no error codes. Any help apreciated!
  10. Hi, i would like to introduce myself as I'm the newest one here :). Couple of months ago i bought a 53 Avensis 2.0 D4D and unfortunately I already have problems with it. I really like the car and would like to learn more about toyota.
