Sorry Mods.....could you slip this across to the Supra forum section please My neighbour came round at the weekend to ask my opinion on a car he is wanting to sell. It was his late father in laws car, a 1983 Celica supra. 75,000 miles and only 2 owners. His father in law kept a meticulous record of every penny spent on it. I went to look at it and the car is in very good condition, some little scuffs and the odd little rust patch but a lovely interior. Starts and runs really well. He asked me what I thought it was worth and I couldn't value it at all, moreover I've been on the net and only found one other which was advertised last year in a dealers at £4750 as I recall. Has anyone any experience of these cars to offer any idea of what it may be worth

Mine is brand new and does it but I can't remember under what circumstances, I think it's if the engine is running or ignition on and I get out with the fob in my pocket. If it wasn't raining I would go out and try it !!

Ah right. I suppose it could be because they have the £1000 finance contribution and no doubt toyota will be offering them good bonuses to take the last production stock. Have they actually stopped coming off the line now or can they still be ordered to spec.

I fitted a parrot handsfree unit to the car last week and today I fitted a auto fold mirror module...the 9 wire unit like the one Tarquin posted about. Both tasks were not too difficult but need a bit of practical know how and in the case of the mirror unit some understanding of vehicle electrics and soldering skills. The parrot works really well and went into the car neatly. What I love about the car is how easily the interior comes apart, nearly every panel is just a push fit so to get to most parts it's just a matter of grab and pull! Just looking for the next project on it now.

I don't really understand what your post is about. Isn't it just advertising unregistered models. There is still plenty of new stock around, surely they will keep advertising until they have all sold. Am I missing something in your post

I've had a look at my standard fog lamps and they are a flat fronted lamp not angled front like the one in your photo, mine have an chrome type angled piece in front of them. In view of this I don't think I would need the toyota angled piece as you describe. It looks like the osram lamp would just be a straight replacement for the existing flat fronted lamp

Thanks for your replies David. I have found this unit which seems to perhaps enable remote unfold and is still plug and play. It would seem that if you don't connect the green to the door unlock it will only unfold the mirror on ign but will work remotely if connected to door unlock. David, I fitted the unit you have used on a new shape kia sportage. I have a spare unit as a friend wanted one fitting but changed car. I intend using the unit I have on the iq. Do you have details of wire colours and location for the iq. The difference on the sportage was that the mirror controls and door locking were all in the door armrest so all the wiring and the module remained in the door area. As I recall it there was something like Live Earth Door lock/unlock Door unlock 4x wires to splice into the mirror fold/unfold feeds I don't know whether you have seen the plug and play one on eBay at £49 that one has the option of mirror unfold on opening or on ign/acc. It looks like that one will be simpler to fit and avoid having to get behind the door trim

Well after one or two disasters on behalf of the dealer during the sales transaction I managed to get a glove box free along with a 3 year service plan and a factory mat set. The glove box although possibly useful is certainly worth nothing like the retail price and I definitely wouldn't buy one

They look better and match the whiteness of the standard interior lamp a lot better
