Hi everyone, i'm a fresh member here so probably i'm bringing fresh problem :) My iq is 2009y 1.0 with 120000km on odometer. I have lack of power problem, checked everything from spark plugs to removing catalytic converter... Finally I took it to dealer, after four hours of tests with no trouble codes diagnose was a vvt actuator... Anyone had such kind of problem? Do those things brake? Or could it be clogged so oil pressure can't move it? And how bad is to change this thing? (I'm good with the mechanics, have done v8, v6 chain and belt driven engines) is it possible to do chain removing without taking engine out? Or is there a possibility of changing the actuator only by removing cam cover and accessing sprockets ( that would be to easy i guess). if anyone has done chain work I would appreciate any advice on what is the best way of doing it without taking out the engine... Thanks in advance
